I stood outside the cottage waiting for him once when I was about 8 and he happily came over and shook my hand. Seemed a kind man.

Was one of the first few managers we had under the Al Fayed era and around the time I started supporting the club - was starstruck at the time as a kid that Fulham managed to convince him to be our manager, thought it was really cool and that he was such a good character! Miss characters like those. RIP, gave us some great memories
