Super Mick

Get a full time dof in FFS Shad. It's not rocket science.

If TK goes so does Shahid Khan.

No owners are perfect. Ours are pretty good.

Out of interest, who would you like to come in and buy the club?

What a load of old bull, The Old Count.

Sadly, it's apologists like you, who keep incompetent people like Tony Khan at the club.

If Tony goes, Shahid will not 100% go, he will likely replace him with someone more competent.

As for selling? I'm sure there are more competent owners than the Khans out there, who get football, so again stop talking nonsense.

Speak for yourself, khans have served us well, losing Marco was always gonna be tricky

We the only club in prem not to make a proper signing?

S.F.Sorrow

The lack of signings is a huge cause for concern of course (particularly the situation at CB in our opening game), but I'm even more worried that our main transfer strategy seems to rely on signing 4-5 of Real Madrid's most promising young talents. Let's face it, even their fringe players will see Fulham as a step down. And that's assuming RM will even let them leave. If our absent DoF is gambling on Arbeloa's history of coaching some of these players, I think we may in for a nasty surprise. I hope there's a plan B for when TK realizes we can't pick and choose Real Madrid players just because we've signed their old B-team coach...

The Old Count

If social media and forums like this had been around 35 odd years ago, I'm sure some people would have had a moan at the Muddymans for not getting us more success.

Be careful what you wish for.
Remember the Rao family who owned Blackburn.
Being owned by Indian Chicken farmers didn't work out for them

You reckon the owner reads this forum and goes, "Oh well, the balance of sentiment is for keeping my son in the job, that settles it.."?

He isn't going to sack his son.

Nepotism at its worst and at Fulham's expense.

Maybe so, but it has nothing to do with fan sentiment  :slap:

I noticed that you used "proper"
Does that mean you want to exclude the signing of Kusi-Asare?

new manager
no signings
our 2 best players from last season gone on a free
1 center-back sold with no replacement
andersen still at the club

even if you're the biggest Khan fan you have to say we will struggle next season

Raul was not one of our 2 best players last season.in fact apart from his penalty taking he didnt really do much.

Southcoastffc

There used to be a poster on one of the Fulham boards who used the handle Captain Gloom.  He's obviously well and truly permeated this board.  Cheer up folks! You might even find something to enjoy when sitting in your mega expensive seat watching our ramshackle team losing six nil and plummeting to the Championship.  ::wink::    ::scarf::  ::scarf::  ::scarf::
The world is made up of electrons, protons, neurons, possibly muons and, definitely, morons.

The trouble wirh transfer rumours is that they are just that 'Rumors'
Most started by agents trying to move on players or media outlets filling space. Sometimes they are factual but not always possible to complete as all parties want the best deal they can get and Sometimes clubs just dont want to sell the player teams are interested in, keep getting stressed out guys as its open for about 6 more weeks COYW

I'm sorry, but they were foolish enough to think Silva would stick around, and when he left on the 11th hour, were left with egg on their faces and borrowed time.

Up steps Arbeloa, who we were apparently working with before he joined the Club to identify targets, have let Harry, Raul and now Diop go, have seen Garica chased and what now looks like has fallen through, with Nwaiwu going out with Trabzonspor on their pre-season tour.

You honestly can't make this crap up, every summer, whilst watching other clubs identify targets and close them within a couple of weeks.

Please get out of this club Tony Khan.

You are obviously well placed in the middle of our transfers team so I can't argue with you on any of this. Also, our new manager doesn't have any experience of the Premier League and that is why we should have gone for Scott Parker, Big Sam, Ruben Amorim or Ange as that would make more sense.

And look at Sheffield Wednesday.  A historically much bigger club than us with huge potential. Not going that well for them either.

 I couldn't agree more.
There's a certain amount of "I need it now" from some fans. They need transfers now. Not for any real reason, the difference between signing someone now and next week is minimal in the grand scheme of things.
It's the same impatience that allows streaming sites to charge people not to watch 30 seconds of ads every 15 minutes, it just seems to be that the way things are.

There was plenty of criticism of the board back then. The letters sent in TOOFIF were often very critical. Off the top of my head I can recall the Cabra deal, Alan Dicks appointment, Don MacKay's tenure and Ian Branfoot appointment all getting a good going over. Communication with the fans was often complained about. Difference was TOOFIF was published about 5 times a season rather than being something people can put comments on every day.

Indeed.
With the same dreary outcome: an underwhelming lower mid-table finish, looking over our shoulder hoping a run of injuries or bad luck doesn't suck us into the relegation battle, whilst clubs like Brighton and Forest take it in turns to play in Europe.
Exactly why something has to change.

Let's take the two examples you've quoted- Forest and Brighton.
Forest have nearly been relegated two out of the last 3 seasons.
Their accumulated points over last 3 seasons? 141

Brighton couldn't be closer to us- 157 points, beating us to Europe by a single, solitary point last season.
Our points tally is 153 BTW (level on points with Chelsea, 7 points ahead of Palace last season for clarity).

The truth is we're just very steady, which is want we wanted after coming back up. If we'd have yo-yo'd again, fans such as yourself would have been raging about the poor way that the club was run. Arbeloa is a roll of the dice, get some new, younger players in and see where we go next.
I'm excited about the season.
