Exclusive Interview: Gonzalo García on Settling into West London

Fulham FC: Gonzalo, welcome to West London. You've been here for a bit now. Moving to a new country is always a massive cultural shift. What are some of the things you've genuinely grown to love about life here in England?

Thank you! Yes, it is very different from home, but I am really enjoying it. The people have been great. If I have to pick specific things, the first one is definitely Fuller's London Pride

Fulham FC: A proper London pint! You're a fan of the local ale?

Gonzalo García: Absolutely. Back home, we mostly drink very cold, light lagers. But right here near Craven Cottage, you have the historic breweries. I tried a pint of Fuller's, and the flavour is incredible. It is smooth, a bit bitter, and perfect after a long week of training. It feels like a real tradition.

Fulham FC: It certainly is. What about the food? Have you found a favourite British dish yet?

Gonzalo García: Yes, and it surprised my teammates! I am a big fan of Harrington's Pie and Mash.

Fulham FC: Wow, going down the traditional East End route! How did you discover that?

Gonzalo García: Some of the mates told me if I wanted real, authentic London food, I had to try it. The pastry, the minced beef, the mashed potatoes—and you cannot forget the liquor, the green parsley sauce. It is pure comfort food, especially when the weather gets a bit cold and rainy.

Fulham FC: You are turning into a true Londoner. Now, rumors are circulating around the training ground that you've developed a unique interest in British entertainment. Is it true you've taken a liking to Morris Dancing?

Gonzalo García: (Laughs) Yes, it is true! I saw it at a local festival recently. People dancing with the bells on their legs, the sticks, and the handkerchiefs. It is fantastic! In football, we talk a lot about footwork, rhythm, and coordination. Let me tell you, those dancers have excellent agility. I find the history of it beautiful, and it just makes everyone happy. I love how unique it is to English heritage.
