I would say totally different. Think Robinson is superior as a defender than Sessegnon will ever be. I have never thought Sessegnon is a defender only that he can fill in if need be.More effective as an attacking option but finds one or two often blocking his path.

He was great for 88 mins and then hit the wall physically and got sloppy. Absolutely nothing wrong with his performance today and he kept their RW quiet and popped up with some good passing interplay as well

For me it's much more nuanced than that. I think Robinson is a useful defender because his pace enables him to attempt more recovery tackles. However I see Sess as the more intelligent defender with a better football brain. To sum up for me it's athlete vs footballer. Neither is the complete article defensively and I'd like to see managers considering the opposition before making their selection.
However from an attacking point of view Sess smashes it, he carries more threat and seems to have a far better eye for goal.

My way of describing Robinson is this, he's a very athletic defender but not so good a footballer.

After several seasons in the PL he really should have improved his positioning when defending but his pace gets him out of trouble more often than not.

Like wise with his final pass, cross or shot, which is well below PL standard in my opinion.

But overall he tidies up well in defence and worries opponents in attack.
He will do for me!

I'm a fan of Sess but Robinson had an excellent game today. Full of running, defended effectively and played lots of good short passes. Very tidy. His problem is, as we all know, that his crossing and shooting is haphazard, but the same could be said of Berge.

I always look at it that I want in this case left back to predominantly be better defending than attacking that's what a left back position in my eyes should upmost be a defender. If you get one whose very good at both he probably won't be playing for Fulham?

I personally can't take anything you say about Robinson seriously.

Over the past few seasons he's been one of the best left backs in the league. He played well today, plenty to come from him. And if we were to try and upgrade on him we could spend £30m and still not guarantee the new player will be better.

I prefer Sess higher up the field.
