I'm wondering now how it was accomplished. I'm guessing real footage was used first and then maybe traced over, sort of, to do the drawing part or on a software program that allows drawing. 

No matter, other than it seems to want to turn Bale into a deity, very cool video.  :045:

According to my Mrs., the animation filmer, it is rotoscoping ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotoscoping.  ).

It is a great video though, great artistic choices!
