I used to love the Offal in the old days..circa 2002 - 2006.  I went on there the other day and it was like a bear pit.  Attack attack attack...

They really do have a highly irrational hate of all things FOF...  But i doubt i'll lose any sleep over it..

All is well in not so sunny Cork, give us a shout when you can get to a game. The young fella will be in Boston and NY for a week over easter, might need some advice on Fulham pubs.

TAKEN FROM THE MUSICAL - West Side Foffer

When you're on FOF
Little Man you're a King
You're at last among friends
Where we dance and we sing

When you're on FOF
You're a Family man
Our voice heard at last
We are the true fan

Where you are A FOF
You stay a FOF

(Dance along Putney High Street in a non gay way, unles you are gay and click fingers)

The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

Fofin A right, noisey. You go over to the offal at all anymore? It's a fofin shame what they did to our old stomping grounds. Oh well, fofin progress I suppose.

I still read every post on every Fulham board and there are still some first rate people on there. The shame of it is that over 7,000 people have taken the time to register to post on there - and you don't have to register in order to read it - but they rarely have more than 15-20 people on there at one time and most of them don't post. All those thousands of people want to talk about Fulham and share their love of the club and 95% of them back off when they experience the full un-moderated joy of that board. Talking about Fulham and reading about Fulham is one of the things that keeps the club close to my heart but it is easy with anything in life to just drift away and not return.  I think the club have lost loads of potential supporters because of that board - particularly Americans. I agree with Mr Ska about the old, old board format but I think those days will never return for any messageboard of any type anywhere.  In the early days of messageboards people were pretty much as you would find them if you met them face to face and WUM's were few and far between. Now WUM's are present everywhere in great numbers. The BBC's 606 messageboards have changed a few times over the years and mostly to try and cut out the WUM's. They have never succeeded and the greater and greater restrictions have slowly killed what were once a great set of sports messageboards. The BBC are now canning the lot of them later this year "to save money" but I am sure they will be glad to see the back of them for all the hassle they have caused. Messageboards are about people with shared interests coming together and strengthening their interest in those things. They are a chance to make friends and learn from people and share knowledge - none of that happens on too many boards - and I'm not just singling out the official board. I read a lot of other football clubs boards and they are all riven by in-fighting or indifference and cynicism. People on here travel together and socialise together and sort out tickets and answer questions and solve problems and send gifts and merchandise to other members in a way that makes you reflect on what a great club this is and how lucky it is to have so many great supporters. The club's official website should be the first place that people come to do those sorts of things and to have their reasons for supporting the club confirmed and strengthened. My hope is that loads of Fulham Supporters are using Facebook instead to communicate with one another and that the level of involvement on our boards is not a reflection of the true level of support the club has. There are clubs in the fourth tier of professional football who get far more people on their messageboards than Fulham do! As you say McB, its all progress I guess and I suppose technology finds a way in the end. :59:
