Kevin McNaughton murders Sian Massey

Looks like a deliberate attempt to get her off the pitch. Men and their inability to control their testosterone.

Looks that way. Maybe he was on a bet to do that.

Cardiff's support are, by a distance, the most unpleasant in the League. Perhaps a reason to hope QPR don't get a points deduction.

Burt

Looked very delibarate.

So much for the Respect campaign.

alfie

and the camera angle after she got up shows him striding away, gave the impression he was not interested to she if she was hurt.

She was laughing though, i reckon she would stand up to those ego maniacs called footballers

Sadly she wasn't

Playing the Devil's advocate here (in any case, the lack of apology is poor), is it not the case that rather than trying to barge into her, he's trying to sprint down the line towards goal and because he had his head down, he failed to spot her? Can't tell which way Cardiff are shooting at this point, but the fact that he's trying to keep the ball in play suggests that he is in fact trying to keep an attack from left-right going.

Have you seen the pace of that ball? Even Usain Bolt won't have kept it in... That said, you have a point. He should, nonetheless, have apologized.

True - but there is a huge gulf between the two accusations:
1. Accidentally barging into someone chasing a lost cause due to your own poor touch and failing to apologise - he's a bit of a dick.
2. Deliberately shoulder barging someone to the floor. A disgusting violent act, he should be banned for a long, long time and fined (for if it was deliberate, how was this worse than the Cantona/Kung Fu incident, when he was banned for most of a season).

This is my view, I dont really see what the fuss is about.

Surely with Miss Massey wanting to fit in, she was happy not to be apologised to, no way a male linesman would have been apologised to.

I would have expected a player to apologise to a male linesman.

I have never seen a player apologise to a linesman.

I think this has just become a drama out of nothing.

TonyGilroy

You won't often see a player knocking over a linesman or referee but when next you do I'll bet there is an apology.

Lighthouse

The player is strolling away afterwards. A hand out in apology would be normal. If any player knocks over a fellow player or a ref or linesperson, a simple 'sorry mate gesture' would be seen nine out of ten times.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

He plays for Cardiff what do you expect from one of their players  :028:

Unless said player is Paolo Di Canio
