Got to be Schwarzer, Hughes, Hangeland and Zamora and whilst I'm itching to see Bryan I'd not start without Murphy.

I agree with the selction above. We are rudderless without Murphy.

Interesting to see that so many include Dempsey in their 5. I'll bet that Martin Jol doesn't. He'd be in my top 6.

I personally find it easier to pick four rather than five, and they would be Schwarzer, Hangeland, Murphy and Zamora. It's interesting that many of us are picking these four as our most influential players, probably not registering that they also form the 'spine' of the team. Its generally accepted that the best sides always have a strong spine.
