Last train from Enschede to Amsterdam after the match ?

If the match kicks off at 18:00 GMT would there be time to get a train back to Amsterdam?

There is not much in the way of hotels in Enschede itself; might as well go back to Amsterdam as stay in a hamlet.

I've got a place in some kind of hotel on the University grounds just outside of Enschede. It's not particularly cheap, but it's also a damned sight cheaper than anywhere within Enschede.

I reckon the best bet would be to head out to another town or get to The Dam... although that has potential to be even more expensive!  :wine: :HD: :dft011: :dft004: :004: :008: :020: 090.gif

My friend has a trophy wife, I guess it wasn't first place.

Just out of interest, why not?

I checked the website of the railway company.

Last train seems to depart at 22:19 in front of the stadium (Enschede Drienerlo). You have to change twice to get to Amsterdam at 00:33. You seem to have enough time for the two changes (12 minutes and 7 minutes).

Note that you do not necessarily need to stay in Enschede. You can stay in Hengelo as well (which is five minutes by train or 11 km).

No, I think his is an overstatement. I don't see a good reason not to visit Dutch football stadia or games.
