More specifically--it shouldn't be against "the law" at all--you fight ideas, especially repulsive ones, with ideas.  Outlawing the speech just pushes it underground & festers.  All this politically correct thought police nonsense is worthless.  There's a big difference between workplace/company rules and the coercive power of the state (in my humble opinion).
