Wilson and Hanlon were in opposition on Saturday at Celtic Park Fulham are tracking the progress of Celtic full-back Mark Wilson and Hibernian defender Paul Hanlon.

The English top-flight club were represented at Celtic Park on Saturday as the players' sides drew 0-0 in the Scottish Premier League.

Scotland Under-21 cap Hanlon has come through the youth ranks to become a regular and is contracted until 2016.

The 27-year-old Wilson, who has made one senior Scotland appearance, is out of contract next summer.

And he has been involved in a three-way battle for the right-back position with South Korea international Cha Du-Ri and summer signing Adam Matthews, who arrived from Cardiff City.

Wilson has made 10 appearances this season, three from the bench, more than double that of Cha.

However, that is two fewer than Matthews, with whom he has also shared left-back duties in the absence of the injured Emilio Izaguirre and in preference to Badr El Kaddouri, who was signed on loan as cover from Dynamo Kiev.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon this month revealed that Wilson, who has also acted as cover in central defence, is playing through the pain of a knee injury that is likely to eventually require surgery.

Wilson, who made his Scotland debut this year against Northern Ireland, emerged from the youth ranks to make his senior debut and became a regular starter for Celtic's SPL rivals, Dundee United.

However, he had a £500,000 release clause on his contract and, despite reported interest from Wolves, Leeds United and Hearts, he joined boyhood heroes Celtic in 2006.

Wilson joins Celtic team-mate James Forrest in attracting scouts from a Premier League club, Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp having confirmed that they had the Scotland winger watched against Hibs.

I am offended by your title! :014:

OK, Scotland don't produce any more Dalglishes or denis laws but neither do we produce primadona w@nkers like Terry, Lampard, Cole, Barton, Ferdinand, etc, the list goes on and on.

You know, players who think they are a lot better than they actually are.
