Saw Clint this morning and he was just coming back from MP after a long session with the medical team, hamstring tight apparently so will not be at WHL on sunday asked him if he was leaving and said not as far as he is aware, talks over contract extension ongoing at the moment but is very happy at FFC  starsnstripes

No way Clint's on our payroll and acting in the interests of another team - especially not the one we're playing this week! If Jol is benching him to protect a team asset about to be sold, at least that's the team acting in it's own interest. Even this seems out of the question to me, though, as long as the team still has a sniff at: 1) next season's Europa, 2) 7th place, 3) it's highest ever PL points total, 4) winning the 'London table,' and 5) sticking it to Spurs as payback for MJ's sacking.

Good bit of kidology if you ask me. Wenger, Redknapp etc looking to go against their instincts of not buying older players with no resale value at the end of it, Dempsey a 29 yr old gets a hamstring problem just as they are about to start bidding, just puts another doubt in their heads as to whether it's a good move as the 29yr old wants a 3 year contract, maybe enough to make them push him down their wanted list so if they get the other players they want he stays with us.
