I am sure they were hoping to get a fee from the FA for him - Levy must have been gutted when Roy got the job!
Now he will have to keep him or pay to shift him - how sad

Harry tried to play poker with the wrong guy, he thought he deserved more money and started releasing stories to his press mates about tottenham needing to sign him up. Levy always plays a mean hand and looks like he has fired back his own press stories which has put the wind up Harry so much he has come and had to say he would never leave Spurs - no mention of more money.

The really important thing here is we need to get Jol on a longer contract. If we have another great season he would be one of the guys on Levy's and the Fans shortlist, especially as no compensation would be due. He has said he loved his time at Spurs and what a big club they are so the last thing we want to do is give him the opportunity to leave and definitely not for free.

I was right all along. 

Still think it will pan out as it will, but reckon Moyes isn't a big enough name for them.
