JAR was definately carrying a bit of weight this time last year. No such problem this year, as the below picture shows. He's just had a new tattoo and looks in very good, ahem, shape.....

Not really. I think you will find we in The Brainstrust all have a very similar look and physique its just that it is usually covered up with anoracks and a comfy scarf.

I have to say that since you have become one of the Mods your cynicism has become almost cruel. Sod the weights and one armed bench presses I am going to have to seek solace in beer and jam roly poly and that will be that. What Brian is going to do with that job lot of fizzy sanatogen is nobodies business.

well because english sucks. we americans did our best to improve upon the "queen's english" but its still garbage. all the cool kids get their tattoos done in chinese or japanese because it makes the meaning so much deeper. profound is a better word actually.

Which reminds me of a TV series that lasted about 4 episodes several years back. This rather large black gentleman had gotten a Chinese-symbol tattoo that he was inordinately proud of. He kept noticing that the Chinese he passed on the street would chuckle as he passed. He finally asked the owner of the Chinese Restaurant he frequented to reassure him.

Black gentleman: This means "heart of a lion" right?

Restaurant owner: No, it means "When two men have sex, I am the one on the bottom."

I wouldn't get a tattoo under any circumstances, but if I had to it would be in English.
