Fabregas set up David Silva

Jordi Alba - the anomalie

Torres scores and then sets up Mata!

For all the skill Spain posess - and there's a lot on show - would it be fair to say that the players who made the difference and if we're being honest have always made the difference for spain when it counts (torres scored winning goal last euro's and Fabregas set up Iniesta's goal for the world cup) is made with a bit of that added extra from players who've plied their trade in the premiership.

Fabregas grew in the premiership and developed as a professional footballer under Wenger.

the players who made the difference when it counts all had their footballing education in Spain, you could use the Fabregas argument but he was still in La Masia until he was 16

For all of spains brilliance their supporters can only celebrate once every 2 years. Where as in england we enjoy the most competitive and exciting league in the world for most of the year, where as in spain their league is dominated by two teams and is run rife with cheating and diving! I for one would not trade international success for the quality of our league!

a solid point, sir, and the ultimate retort to those who want more English/British players in the Prem. Without the foreign players. the Prem would be pedestrian at best.

Yeah, it is not like two Spanish teams competed in the Euro Cup League Final or anything.

And to answer your question: no! Spain played Spanish football with Spanish players. Whomever pays the players currently only harvests what was sown earlier.

and that Fabregas is already a better player a year after leaving Arsenal.
