How about this for a throwback... Why not go for Jamie O'Hara?  A bit more creative than Sidwell, and probably not too happy playing in the Championship, no?

Oh wait, just read he had some sort of double hernia surgery or something...  I don't know much about injuries, is that something that one recovers from relatively quickly/free of complications?

Maybe, but it's possible for a poorly managed/constructed team to have a few good players as well.  Fletcher and Jarvis were both on Wolves too...

Not saying he's the next Dembele but still would/could be an interesting option at least as additional competition for the slot.

N'Zonzi was the most wanted man in England at one point this Summer. I'd take him, although I'd prefer to get two decent CMs.

I'd take N'Zonzi, Adam, Palacios or Huddlestone. Holden + Dorrans wouldn't be bad either. Essien may be slightly unrealistic.
