An interview in the Standard has Zamora stating that Hodgson has been in touch to let him know that he is still in contention for an England place.

I think I got that call as well and my last competitive match was for the Cub Scouts in 1976.

I personally think he should be called instead of Rooney

Defoe playing off BZ, H'mmm might work, though BZ is not international quality he could be the foil that Defoe plays off, so long as he stays on his feet and keeps his mouth shut.

It's really a shame that he got injured prior to South Africa 2010. I know the entirety of FulhamUSA was concerned about facing him in the opening match. Luckily, not only did he not go, but we got Terry and Carragher as the two CBs -- sort of two Christmases in a row.

Roy was at the QPR v West Ham match tonight.

I don't think Bob will have been picked up after that performance.

No just don't like Rooney

I appreciate the sentiments, but I admit, I like England more than I hate Rooney, and having Row Z Bobby in the side instead would be too much to take, even with Woy in charge.

Roy, probably watching Jarvis and hoping Carroll might come on. Or, it was either this match or laundry night. Tough choice, Shepherds Bush just edged it.

He might still be in the frame but only because we're desperate.

I thought he had a decent match today against West Ham.

I didn't see it, just enjoyed the result. And, since 1975 still hurts, it must mean something when I'm pleased that WH beat QPR!

England cricket team more like.
You came all this way ... and you lost, and you lost.

I keep hoping that QPR will disappear up their own aspirations.

If true, you can tell Hodgson was there.  It was apparent during his final twelve months with us that he upped his game significantly when Capello and then even Redknapp were present in the stands.

I can't ever be thrilled when West Ham win -- not even if they beat Chelsea. Their cheating season where two illegal Argentines kept them up did it for me. It could very easily have been us rather than Sheffield United who paid the price for their law-breaking success. And if that means less to you than making Hughes look bad, check out where United are in the football pyramid for a bit of perspective.

And all this was before they were taken over by porn merchants.

I really want to see West Ham playing Luton in the Conference. QPR? Our only real rival in the Prem. I like having them around -- and beating them.
