Brek Shea to Stoke potentially back on, pending a medical Tuesday.  The deal may now closer to $4m (£2.5m) than $3m.

If we knew demps and dembele were going, why didn't we  sign them and then package them for big money in this january window?

Because a contract requires two signatures.

I wonder why the club didn't think of that  fp.gif

Spurs are trying to hijack Norwich's bid for Celtic's Gary Hooper.

And Man U are lining up a bid for Victor Wanyama.

According to the Express & Star, Odemwingie is back in training at WBA. Wonder what the rest of his team mates think about that?

Looking at all the gossip from the media , QPR & Spurs are supposed to be bidding for another 4 signings each totaling 60 mil between them.
I thought arry told Fernandez not to waste his money on any new players. There are not enough games left for them to gel. When they go down they are going to be faced with a massive problem. It will be a buyers market.

Bit of the Yahoo round up for the morning so far :

QPR: Harry Redknapp, the Queens Park Rangers manager, launched a bid to sign Peter Crouch for a third time in his managerial career in a proposed swap deal with Jamie Mackie last night.

QPR have had a second bid for Brede Hangeland turned down as the Fulham defender enters the final six months of his contract.

Update. They have now bid 10 mil for Samba. They can still only have 11 on the pitch. They have had to hire 2 team coaches for away games.

Some tapping up news From the BBC:

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp on reports linking him with defender Christopher Samba and striker Peter Crouch tells BBC Sport's chief football writer Phil McNulty: "These are two players whose names have been mentioned, but at the moment we're not close to doing anything. Crouch's name came up in a meeting with the chairman but I don't think Stoke want to sell him.

"On Samba, again the chairman is dealing with this. At this stage I don't think that's a goer. I like Christopher Samba and he is a very good player but at this stage I don't see him leaving Russia. Things can changes but at this stage we're not close to doing anything."

Liverpool have agreed an £8.5m deal for Inter Milan's Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho.

My friend who lives in Norwich and is a fanatic told me the locals are saying robin van wolfswinkel is a done deal basically. Man I hope not.

have a gut feeling brede will be off this window.
Our biggest problem is leaving contracts till last min as usual..I honestly think we are a poorly run club in that sense. The amount of players we have lost over the years due to this.

Have we not had an offer on the table for him for quite some time and hes postponed signing or refused to sign? The club can't force him to sign if that's the case.

then why is he still here? Im sorry but we need players 100% focused and not one who is just shopping around etc. We need to be firm and say either you sign or go and we get someone else in. He has been poor all season and quite frankly the club needs to grow a pair. Its a joke we have/will lose brede and dempsey for not only half their value but because we left it too late.

If Brede doesn't sign, we should let him run his contract down and keep him until the summer. He is the rock of our defence and we can't afford for him to go and not be replaced.

We certainly should not be selling him or anyone else to a relegation rival

we certainly cant afford for our best defender to go for free? That makes no sense seeing that money is tight with us

Exactly. People on here have asked the question of why he is still here if he won't sign and why is he still the captain. No-one knows and I haven't got a clue why someone who won't sign is still here and our captain. Hopefully he'll sign or just go before we lose a few million.
