Fulham Tup North

Just been on Cottage Corner and so many people on there are very negative about this signing.
You sign no-one and people moan, you sign someone and people moan?  Make your mind up CC.
He is better than now't.  Just hope he can keep fit long enough to show some class.  :022:

That said, I signed him on a free in FIFA 11 and he helped me get Plymouth Argyle to the Premier League. So, there's that working for him.

So you got that goin' for him, which is nice.

Why should people be happy at what they believe to be a poor signing? how can he better than nowt? It is the long injury that concerns me, I know nothing about him so would not comment on if this is a good signing or not, if others have good first hand knowledge, not anecdotal then let them have their say

Enter the Frei

I'd guess that some people are making their opinions on him due to his off the field endeavours rather than watching him play football, or they just angry we haven't signed exactly what we need yet.

He's shown he's talented already it's in a problem position and at worst he is short term back up, with no long term risk. Granted if he is all we bring in this transfer window I'll be disappointed, but he is good enough for us.

Abbotsbury White

Thought he was superb on loan at Wolves before he got injured, young, can get up and down the pitch, needs to prove himself once again and it isn't going to send us into a treble dip reccession..  lets give the bloke a chance..

Have seen him a few times. Thought he was good .
Would rather he was signed rather than a  loan

Fulham Tup North

A friend of mine is an Arsenal season ticket holder and says he always thought that he would become a good 'squad' player for them. Injury's stopped him showing his true potential. We will see, but he looks strong and he looks fast.  New blood might also make others raise their game.  Never under estimate the effect of fresh blood on a side.

On 19 August 2010, Frimpong injured an anterior cruciate ligament in training and was out injured for nine months
On 1 January 2012, it was confirmed that Frimpong had joined fellow Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan until the end of the season. The following day he made his debut, starting in a 2–1 loss to Chelsea. However, in only his fifth appearance for the club, he ruptured a cruciate ligament in his right knee during a 2–1 win at QPR, effectively ending his season He was then returned to Arsenal as his injury would rule him out for the rest of his time at Wolves.

Surely not the same knee?

We seem to send all our 'crocks' to Germany at the moment, so maybe he has joined for the airmiles?

He was ahead of Coquelin at Arsenal before he was hurt in 2010.  An article at ESPN discussed recently how he acted as an enforcer for Wilshire when U-21.  He brings a nastiness Fulham needs.  I hope he is available for West Ham.  Really strong and physical.

..Kya.ffc..

Don't know much about him, but we could atleast use some cover, hope he proves to be more than that. Looking forward to see how he does for us.

Overall not a bad start to the weekend
Beers may have been involved in this post.

certainly nothing whatsoever to lose on this one and, who knows, might turn out well.

Scrumpy

I do remember his debut for Arsenal and people were talking about him as the next Viera. He impressed me, although he looked a little hot-headed. But that should come with experience.

We don't have anything to lose.

Good signing very pleased with this one

Where did that come from?

Barnet, where Arsenal play their reserve games!!

If this is a loan with a view to a permanent transfer then the it's a decent signing for the future.
If its just a loan move then it's uninspiring!! As I've said before, why are we looking to nurture another premier clubs talent when we keep bleating how our well own academy / U21 squad is?

He may do well for us, and I Hope he does but at the end of the day, we are doing more for Arsenal.

We need to either produce our own talent and give them a go or sign a proven player.

Forever Fulham

Two separate cruciate ligament tears...and not that long ago.   Does anyone know if both injuries were to the same leg?  Maybe in this instance getting him on loan is not such a bad idea, huh?  The price was right.

I hope the lad doesn't make a bad pass or a mistimed tackle during his loan spell. Imagine what stick Jol will get if he does!

Dont worry, if he turns out to be a dog, you can point out that Jol has nothing to do with transfer decisions.

He is out of contract in the summer so I guess if he does well we will have a good chance to sign him

Or he will go to qpr

How many of us will have seen him often enough to have 'good first-hand knowledge'? Very few, surely.

Nor would it be the first time that a player has been branded as a poor signing by those who know little or nothing about him; Riether wasn't exactly welcomed by all when he arrived in the summer, I recall.
