Me-ate-Live, innit??

I am !! with three ex-Fulham it was mildly interesting, with now only one it is now less so.
However, a great goal by Umtitti...............a lift and separate,   even he was surprised it went in.
Steed is only 32, he always looked like an old man

3 incredible goals - Spurs lucky to have Bale ... for the time being!

Yes golden passes .................his  beautiful pass that found Umtitti for that goal
Bale is one Great player .... to produce under pressure is a gift

Bale is in ridiculous form right.

Spurs are a little lucky to get all 3 points.  They looked like a malfunctioning machine in the second half.

Spurs do not need the distraction of the Europa league. They must get CL football next season to have any chance of holding onto Bale.

I see Liverpool crashed again tonight with another 0-2 defeat. Twitter went into meltdown following Rodgers interview. I am not sure what he said but the Liverpool fans are after his head. It could be curtains for him. What odds on Rafa or Dalglish being back there next year?
Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Probably refers to Rodgers alledged quote post match of "perfect away performance apart from 10 minutes"

Should have endeared himself to the LFC fans with that one!

Bye bye Brendan?

As for us,if you wind the clock back & get the "Steeeed" of old back just for the rest of the season, just to help get us out of this mess - one can only wish.............

What y'all in the UK missed was the color commentary on US television from ... Brian McBride. [that made it FOUR ex-Fulham, K-CAT!].

All the goals were great, but the teenaged FB had the pick of the match -- and probably the tournament. Interestingly, except for those two goals, Bale was absolute crap the entire match.

Funny old game, eh?

It was great to see Steed, by the way. McBride said that the stat system used to rate players in France has him as the 2nd best player in Ligue 1.

Could be because Rodgers said the Zenit fans were brilliant and created a great atmosphere, when Liverpool fans had been attacked before, during and after the game by them.

Malbranque still has it
Dembele wasn't at his best
Dempsey was poor

Just a quick question. Would you want to see Rodgers as a Fulham manager. I felt he did well at Swonsea, but that may of been due to the team play more than him.

fulhaman

I believe spurs will get Champion League. Even without a striker

sweek

Ade is back from the ACON now isn't he? And Holtby is looking like a great signing.

I do really enjoy watching Spurs at the moment. I guess that if Bale does go, Dempsey would start playing in his position?

Dembele still has no end product. Great keeping the ball and very rarely loses it. Short passes rather than long and seems to wander about the pitch with no real aim? I think we miss Dempsey more imo than Dembele.

no one else thinks Bale is another David Beckham? Great couple of free kicks but his form during the run of play was laughable. Missed two wide open goals and gave the ball away every time he got it. Don't get me wrong I wish we had him but he is on top form and is a dead ball specialist in my opinion. Dembele on the other hand ate up huge chunks of the pitch with the ball, best player at spurt by a country mile.

I heartily concur with the Van Man. Also, Dempsey had a solid first half mostly on the left wing, but disappeared in the second half due to an ill advised tactical switch. Lyon looked much the better side on the day and I think their away goal will see them through.

It's interesting that 4 teams were undefeated through the group stages, and 3 of them are in the 4 team many group that will play the next two rounds -- AC Mafia being the third.
