DiegoFulham

who would be a cheeky bet on Belgium to win the 2014 world cup with the players they have...

Simon Mignolet
Vincent Kompany
Jan Vertonghen
Thomas Vermaelen
Mousa Dembélé
Marouane Fellaini
Eden Hazard
Kevin De Bruyne
Kevin Mirallas
Romelu Lukaku
Nacer Chadli and
Christian Benteke

amazing side.

I am sure Mr Sipwell would agree with this!

It depends on how well they play together as a team. I can remember several years where Spain had a group of players talented enough to win World or European Championships and never pulled it off. That's the big danger with Belgium. Based on talent alone, though, they have to be serious candidates for Euro 2016 if nothing else.

They've got loads of talent, though it didn't really come together for them in the Euros last year.  But they're young, still.

No. I am still convinced we will not make it to the WC.

Sipwell... my god man, have some faith... you are 5-1-0 and have only conceded one goal... if you beat Croatia on October 11th you are likely home free..
Just score 3+ goals a game and we will gain promotion...I promise

Next years world cup has got Germany's name written all over it. I've watched a lot of Dortmund & Munich recently & both are top top teams.
I checked out the Dortmund squad after watching them last night & their entire squad is about 90% German. Munich about 70% - 80% German. There certainly aren't any premier league clubs with those sort of percentages of English players in their squads. In fact, there's not one premier league club who's regular starting 11 are majority English.

Been saying this for a while, the amount of Belgian players playing for the top european teams at the amount is insane!

I saw his face. It was a face I knew, and I knew I'd have to run away.

Wait, that was his brother Needles.  :Get Coat gif:

That was my first thought, the Spain teams before they broke through in the 2008 Euros.

I think they will gain experience at the next World Cup and then win the Euros two years later. Can we buy some more Belgian players, please?
You came all this way ... and you lost, and you lost.

The Belgian side has something very Fulhamish about it. In the last qualifiers for the Euros 2012, Belgium drew... Azerbeidjan and lost all hopes to go to the Euros.

great bunch of individual stars but that doesnt make a great team. take a look at england.

FFC1987

I put a bet on 2 years ago that they would win in next 15 years a major trophy (world cup or euros) Got very good odds on it too.

Well, currently we have a team... Hazard was the odd man out but recently he has found happiness in playing for Belgium (and scored important goals too). These players have been playing together for years now. The only thing that was missing was experience (e.g. they managed to give away a certain 4-3 victory against Austria in the 94th minute... after we scored in the 92nd).

Fulhamross, who are these 'great' English individuals? I must have missed something. :005:

WC in South America, can't look too far beyond Argentina if Messi and strikers perform. Of, course Brazil at home, not to be ignored.
