It was down to 5 players for me. Pajtim Kasami, Brede Hangeland, Maarten Stekelenburg, Steve Sidwell and Damien Duff. It probably goes in that order too, to be fair.

Pajtim Kasami never stopped running, got back, got forward he was everywhere and what a header for the goal.

I do wonder whether Brede Hangeland has still got Jozy Altidore in his pocket? Monstrous performance from the Norwegian Bobby Moore.

Stekelenburg was solid in goal, commanded his area. Superb save in the first half and it's a shame he picked up an injury as he looks a very good signing at an absolute bargain.

Steve Sidwell, I'm not his biggest fan, though he was defensively solid. He still showed all the limitations of his technical ability but defensively marshalled the defence which was needed with Derek Boateng's excitable, Samba Diakite esque cameo.

Damien Duff surprised me, he's 34 and he was still running well into the 90th minute. Couldn't show his attacking ability today but it was great corner for the goal and he shielded Riether superbly all game. Still a great option to shore up the midfield if being controlled outwide.

brede was immense, as was stek. but today i have gone with the match winner kasami. he was non stop and goals win games.

Unlike others, I don't think Kasami was any good, except for the really well taken goal. Ran, but so does Hugo.

My second would be both goalkeepers

Third would have to be Hughes

Kasami played like a man with a lot to prove - and for me, he proved it. MOTM. A shout-out to H+H though - it was just like old times.

Only watched it on the dodgy feed but i thought Brede was immense today. Won everything, in the air and on the ground. Captain's performance.

Had a really good feed but that doesn't show runniing off the ball. Brede for me but frankly it was such a poor first half I may have started hurting myself again.

Got to be D Bo for me. We looked more comfortable with him on the pitch. Special mention to Kasami. Did well and worked hard.
