This is being reported on twitter and we are now odds on favorites to sign Parker.

Personally I wouldn't even take him for 1 million, turning circle of Per Mertesaker and skill of Senderos

Lighthouse

Have already said on another thread that I don't understand this, especially for a club with no money. But will support it if true.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

If im honest I would prefer Chantome but Parker is a good player he has plenty of energy & will always give 100%

Is that Paul Parker? I thought he had retired!!

PokerMatt

If we can stump up £3.5m for Parker, I wonder why we can't raise a bit more for a younger, more creative player which is what we actually need.

Underwhelmed if this is true, but will hope to be proven wrong.

I don't know what to think of this one. But a more uninspiring signing would be hard to come across.

Old, slow, and defensive. It's the opposite of the sort of player I want in CM.. Probably an upgrade on what we have, but this is one I want on loan. No resale at his age.

No its Scott Parker and I thought he had retired

Classic94

Rubbish deal if true. Hope it's just speculation.

Chantome & Enoh would make our midfield complete

£3.5 million is a ridiculous price, too old, not what we need.

And the one time I actually Want a loan deal...

Alfayedslovechild

I've heard that IF he joins, he's putting his son straight into the Fulham academy. By all acounts, his son is a very good prospect.

Nero

Hmm thd old give the dad a job to get the son to sign routine.  Normally isnt it a job in the ticket office or in a restaurant the club own

I can't understand the lack of enthusiasm for this one. I think he would be a great signing  049:gif.

The guy was playing for England 18 months ago and is quality. Is he better than Boateng? Yes. Is he better than Sidwell? Yes. So he would improve our squad, would he not?

Parker was past it last season for Spuds. If we spend ANYTHING on him, Levy will be laughing his backside off at our stupidity.

I wouldn't believe the rumours about the fee. It does not really sound like typical Ali Mac does it?

Remember when we sold the first choice 30 y/o Zamora needed desperately by us to QPR for £4-5m, which in hindsight looked a good deal? Well now we're in for a 5th/6th choice, unwanted 32 (almost 33) y/o for £3.5m.

I don't know how we, or any club for that matter, haven't learned to stay the hell away from any Spurs player whilst Levy is at the club. It's incredible that he's somehow managed to persuade us to pay that much for a player, when we could easily hold them to at least the QPR amount as we've now found out he just wants PL football.

He IS better than what we've got, but for how much longer can we keep plugging gaps in the squad with such short-term (and actually pretty expensive) signings? What happened to lowering the age of the squad? There's no way that there isn't a decent, young, European CM desperate for the chance of PL football who we can make a decent profit out of for not much more than we're paying for someone with no resale value like Parker. I just don't get the aim the club is taking at the moment with its transfer policy.

Jack Fulham

Parker is better than what we currently have but surely age, transfer fee and wages would make this a no go. I wouldn't be surprised if we got him on a season long loan.
