Set up defensive and is a very narrow playing team. Ideal for going away soaking up the early pressure on what they have called a "must win." Attack on the counter first half, maybe become more expansive when crowd start to get on their back.

Just put Sidwell to start instead of Karagounis.

Newcastle morale will not be great with the Cabaye saga, Kinnear and recent results.

It is possible to do well there.

While it is a fair point Count Berbatov, Kaca and Kasami are not exactly rapid. We do not have barrels of pace, Taarabt can definitely attack with pace because he is has the ability and the confidence to run at people- ideal for a counter attack. Berbatov granted is not an counter attacking type player but do would take a very brave call to drop him. If you have Kaca Kasami Dejagh and Hugo, you have to drop a more defensive midfielder as well as Berbatov, Taarabt and Bent

I feel that we give teams too much respect away from home. Newcastle can be an intimidating place to go, but the team itself is nothing special. We should look to play a more expansive game rather than soaking up pressure for 90 minutes, as this would play to our strengths. There are goals in this team with Bent, Berbatov, Taarabt etc, so why not utilise them? Of course, as in any away game, we will need to be resilient, and having two defensive midfielders in Parker & Boateng should shield the back four whilst giving our attacking quartet a license to play. In terms of my team selection, Riise & Sidwell deserve to be dropped because of poor form (Briggs surely can't be any worse?), and I'd hope to see Kasami & Kacaniklic feature at some point. Oh, and finally, no more 1 upfront nonsense. It doesn't work.

Honestly, the football can't get any worse. We might aswell experiment. Kasami has the stength to play at CM, and Briggs over Riise any day. Especially now NUFC don't have Tiote through injury, we could play a bit more attacking football.

Honestly, the football can't get any worse. We might aswell experiment. Kasami has the stength to play at CM, and Briggs over Riise any day. Especially now NUFC don't have Tiote through injury, we could play a bit more attacking football.

I just feel that with Berba and Bent up front we can afford to play wingers in the traditional way, without inverting.
Taarabt, if need be, can use his left almost as well as his right anyway.
