Not that much to say according to the FFC Twitter feed

1 - Martin Jol confirms Maarten Stekelenburg is recovering well but won't be fit for Saturday, while Scott Parker also misses out
2 - Aaron Hughes and Ashkan Dejagah will also miss the visit of Stoke tomorrow
3 - Our Manager explains to the gathered press that his side have been working hard on defending set pieces this week (I'd have rather they worked on ATTACKING set-pieces and getting the ball past the first man)
@MattRhys63 - be warned, there will be a lot of nonsense

Meaning that they hadn't previously seen the point?

Yeah, something isn't right about that statement.  Unless it was a case of "yeah, we know we've sucked.  But we really are practicing it!!"  Also covers his back in the likely event that someone/everyone ballses up a corner.

Is it a surprise Jols interview is not on our site or did I miss something?

No video preview of the game from our manager on our website yet. If it was me I would be all the more anxious to try and reassure the public that 'everything will be alright.'

Conspicuous by its absence no doubt, but then am not surprised considering our / his predicament .

I was thinking that, also no post-Cardiff interview with him either, not surprisingly.

Sounds like the Fulham board are going to give him time to sort this out.  Even if we lose this weekend, be ready for him to manage until Christmas. 092.gif

I'm wondering if Dejagah is fit enough to have been called up by Iran over the international break. Oy, any input from our Iranian White?

Also, has anyone heard anything about what Riise is doing other than banking his paycheck?

I still reckon he'll get 'till after the Palace match.

I think regardless of the result, this is his last match. It gives the club an extra week to bring in the new guy.

That would be the sensible thing to do.

Lose or draw and that's it I think. A stylish win and it might put a different perspective.

Last chance saloon Saturday. As I have said before it would be typically ironic of football if a loss against Hughes of all people is the tipping point. If he goes this weekend it gives the new manager 2 weeks before the next game due to the International break

You are talking Fulham here!

Good job any prospective manager doesn't have to take the medical

Just seen the press conference, it was very revealing about his state of mind; he's not good at hiding his emotions. It's clear he's in a profound state of panic, he was making excuses throughout, inadvertently showing signs of desperation and doing all he could to justify himself. I think he's been found out unfortunately and even Sarah Brookes knows it, this being her first truly critical interview and boy oh boy was it critical.

she was pushing today during the interview wasnt she?  Good for her, he needs to be held accountable.  You can tell that he understands that we need a result and if we don't get it then he will be booed off the pitch again tomorrow.  We need some leaders in the locker room because it doesnt look like Jol is motivating them.  Parker is injured!  We need the old greek war horse to lead the way by example.

He will not get sacked after this weekends game win or lose.  I would say it will be atleast another month or two.

Burt

Really not looking forward to tomorrow. I am normally up for it, and dare say I will get there, but at the moment I'm a bit "meh" about it.
