Yeah, but that was a second-string side and we caught Everton before they realised how good they could be. Plus it was at the Cottage. We've never beaten them at Goodison Park in the Premier League.

Mr Meldrew, you're a little on the gloomy side, as one might expect from your name. You're right not to get too carried away by 2 excellent performances and just 1 win. On the flip side, I hope you will be just as level-headed when we lose a couple on the bounce.

We're certainly not a top 6 side all of a sudden, but we are fast becoming a hard-working, organised and skilful team, which is all most of us hope for.
