Not a bad idea. But why have the ref running around with a spray can like a delinquent graffiti defacer when a simple plastic marker would do. Such as a golf green marker but pocket sized ?

It fades away in about 3 minutes.  The ref isn't exactly burdened by carrying the can on his belt.
