He talks about 'fighting footbal'l under Rene. Yet oddly under Jol Ruiz was asked to defend far more than going forward. Still if he wants time on the ball then the Prem isn't the place for him.

yep, a wonderfully silky smooth player with more skill than the rest of the Team put together, but hasn't got the heart for the fight, some great memories of his few goals but I'd take Holtby every time...

I hope these quotes have been taken out of context because he doesn't come across well here.

He didn't make an impact when we were trying to play shexy football under Jol, and he didn't make an impact when we were scrapping in the gutter under Muelensteen.

...he's right, fighting football just isn't his way - surrendering football suits him better - and he wonders why, when we are in a relegation fight that he helped drag us into, we don't want his 'stylish' football and we are better off without him.
