Uwe.Rossler, brilliant coach as proved at Brentford and now
Wigan, and his sides good to watch.
If we could prise him away from Wigan, only thing is they could
go up through play offs..

I suppose we're due a change. Magath has been hanging around a bit longer than most...

Macedo

Lol...He will jump ship tho when we go down..

I am not worried about another managerial change because a huge percentage of the team will change for a fresh start in division 2. There are several managers who are good at getting teams promoted and of course quite a few will be available in the summer.

If we sack Magath when we go down, mackintosh has to go as he has lost control of the club.
Yes, what I say may be seen as 'overdone' or 'harsh', and to be honest I don't care. Please, feel free to argue your case, but remember, I won't back down.

IMO, Mackintosh has to go at the end of the season. He may well be very good at the business side of football, but the football side has trended in the wrong direction since his hiring. He's overseen the club's biggest investment (the roster) decay to the point that they cannot play a 90' game of football. He's overseen the implementation of a plan, that he convinced Mr Khan was the right plan, fail to the point of this club's relegation from the Premier League.

I'm really curious what has happened since 2008 that Mackintosh would love to have at the top of his CV. I'm not trying to be a smart arse here. I really am ignorant to what he can really hang his hat on during his tenure.

I grant that there have been some good seasons since his hiring and some good finishing positions in the table, but when one looks at the full body of work we've declined as a footballing club.

One could say that gaining permissions for the Riverside is a great achievement, but I haven't seen or heard much really about progress since the announcement. It just doesn't appear that it's moving forward.

We have turned in profitable seasons, but apparently at the cost of having a competitive roster built for the present and for the future.

It will be really odd to me if he's still around after the season ends.

But AM isn't in charge of the purse strings re investing in the squad, or anything else.

Rosler is more likely to be in the Premier League with Wigan than to consider joining us. It could emerge that Magath stays, as well as a big chunk of our squad, because who wants these has beens..?

How exactly is it silly to blame him for some portion of this debacle? I'm curious.

He has been the man who hired and fired all of the managers since 2008. He may not have been responsible for how much money was given to the club for investing in the squad, but he was most definitely very involved in choosing who to spend that sum on. I believe that it's very valid to ask how he survives the failure to construct a competitive squad.

The post talks about Rosler being hard to get of we go down and they go up, here another conundrum, what do you think Tunnicliffe will do. come back to a championship team or stay with a premier club?

From the start  Jol was Mohamed Al Fayed man.  Mo did the chasing way back.

Mac is given X amount of money and told to do Y  with it .  He is not the one with the bag of coin or the one to rubber stamp the deal.  There is no evidence to support the notion that Mac  was instrumental in keeping Jol longer than it was decent or wise, or that Khan consulted him before making decisions, Khan himself had meetings  with both Rene and Felix before contracts were signed.  Mackintosh knows how to behave,  but the carry -on at Fulham over the last 5 months were made by someone who is clueless
Khan making his decisions and not consulting or paying heed to Mackintosh. may well account for the very poor and delayed press releases since the start of the season.

Perhaps Rossler could be gaffer until September 30, then we could get a new manager October 1, another December 1, another February 1 ... .

Or we could just get rid of MacIntosh and the rest of the incompetents in the board and get somebody who really knows how to run a struggling middle-sized club with a weak first team squad and a bunch of strong kids.

So you seriously believe that the CEO has no culpability when the company he is charged with running fails to accomplish the single most important task required of it?

Exactly.  Of course evey CEO is ultimately limited in his authority by owners/shareholders BUT every CEO is accountable for results, is open to criticism and will eventually pay the price for failure.

It is ridiculous to argue, as some do, that it is somehow unreasonable to argue that he is culpable.

Ali Mac was responsible for setting up the academy and bringing in the guys from Southampton. Top marks for that.
