Chris David has a clause in his contract which allows him to leave for free because we got relegated....allegedly says a dutch site

That would be devastating!

It would be surprising if he did after the interview he did recently....However I recall a certain Moussa Dembele who claimed he was staying to see the club to a top 6 spot....followed by a transfer to Spurs....

If Spurs come in for David with a 15m price tag I would sell him too AND reinvest the funds this time.

I have never heard of a clause that let's you leave for free if we go down. Can't believe that's true for one minute.

Former Fulham man Dimitar Berbatov has penned a new deal at Monaco.
The Bulgarian left Craven Cottage in January and helped the French club to a second-place finish in Ligue 1, while his former side were relegated to the Championship.
Mega-rich Monaco have now opted to hand fresh terms to the 33-year-old, who also counts Tottenham and Manchester United among his old sides.
"With AS Monaco, Dimitar showed all his talent and has put his qualities at the service of the team," said Vadim Vasilyev, the club's vice president.
