Until I've spoken to a Fulham official I can not comment. But all that I can say is that I'm humbled and touched from all your messages. #COYW

If we offer him 2 years he will stay.
Been great for us but would rather see chances given to Tunnicliffe & David next season

Yes great idea to throw all our experience, to one side, especially our leading goal scorer we need a good mix next season to get back up

stokesy

sidders will be great for the championship experience and a battler

Tonywa

Just the sort of battling midfielder we need in the Championship.  Need a good combination of battling and skill in the side and however we used the youngsters we will need a few more experienced players as well.  For me his attitude was summed up years ago when he was on loan to Brentford from Arsenal as a kid.  The Bees were in the play-offs from what is now Division One and Sidwell turned down the chance of an England Under 21 cap to help out his adopted team in its most important game for years.

Fulham76

Simply, he's THE player we need to keep hold of for next season

Still believe

Interesting... i see Briggs is more freely chatting about leaving, so here's hoping that Sidwell's tweet is suggesting a possible re-signing... but the 'final season' comment on the club site makes me think not.  Ah I don't know, but I hope he does stay.

Barrie

Keep tweeting him, hopefully we can keep him here.

Berserker

Not sure how you tweet somebody. Won't he just get irritated getting lots of tweets?

When have I ever said throw experience to one side???
Our centre midfield was old & poor last year it needs energy. The likes of Stockdale, Hangeland, Parker should be kept to help the youngsters that's for sure

Let's try this for the 1,000th time: We're stuck with Parker. Why would you want to be stuck with Parker AND Sidwell for two more years?

Because we ain't gonna get anyone better than sidwell and sidwell is better than Scotty my legs have gone Parker 2014 vintage. We just have to suck up the ridiculous contract Jol and Mac offered Parker or give him out baseball style and suck up 75% of his wages.

If we don't get anyone better at CM than Sidwell, we might as well start planning for 2015-16.

Arthur

Sidwell is at his best when the opposition has the lion's share of possession.

Sure, next season we shall need midfield players who can 'mix it', but they will also need to be good enough to control and dictate the play if we're to get out of the division. This isn't Sidwell. He'll more likely score a goal than make a telling pass.

Deanothefulhamfan

Sidwell would be a very decent player at the championship, but if Parker is to stay then I would not re sign him.... the thought of these 2 in the same 11 gives me nightmares.

Macedo

Yes keep him, just the captain we need in Championship..

terryr

You have to believe he still has a couple more PL seasons in him. If Newcastle or stoke take him I'd say fair play to him. He stays with us and we will cast him aside when we bounce back up........

Hong Kong Fulham fan

He is the sort of player we need for the coming season, shame we are letting him go.

I'm not sure he'll be interested in moving to the Tyne but that's my opinion.

Berserker

With all this interest from Prem clubs I can't see him being with us next season

PokerMatt

Why do we need a midfield full of cloggers in the Championship any more than we did in the Premier League?

The team with the best players technically tends to do better in both leagues, so I'd rather we focused on that. We need creativity, not just battlers.
