Anyway here is the criteria that will be considered when choosing the contenders
*No swearing
*Interesting posts
*Reasonably sensible posts
*Sense of humour
*Regular posts
*Good topics started
*By all means disagree but don't cross the line
*Jokes but no offensive jokes (good luck)
*And most important of all (woolly!!!!) a limited use of the word 'doomed'. Its not banned yet but not in every thread ay? (not my decision so don't shoot the messenger)

I'm going to break both my index fingers on the 30th March so will be unable to type, can I enter mine now ?

As for swearing I can't ever remember doing that consequently I swear on here less than anyone unless there is
someone who swears less than none.

An interesting post I saw a couple of years ago was the one that John Wayne tied his horse to outside the
Big Todger Saloon in Dodge City in "True Grit"
The post (nicknamed "Funny") was studying for an online PHD in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University of
Colonoscopy Research in Texarse and was of course sensible.
It constantly took ExLax and as such was an extremely regular post, in fact the stain on Eli Wallach's chaps
when he was thrown out of the Lovely Jubbly Saloon in "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" was attributed to Funny.
(the chaps are on display in Planet Hollywood in the current exhibition "Historically important chaps of the Wild West")
Annie Oakley, Calamity Jane, Hop Sing (Bonanza) and The Swede (Hell on Wheels) all have exhibits there)

The mystery about the post was that it obviously had no gender bits and as such could have been male, female,  lesbian,
transsexual or a shirtlifter.

I read recently that Funny had moved to London, got hitched and had taken up a post at Great Ormond Street Hospital with a part time job in Planet Hollywood, next to the chaps.

I'm not sure 'crossing the line' is appropriate, it sounds like a Catholic genuflection before sniffing Pepsi

I disagree with everything I've written.

THE END IS NOT NIGH
VERY DAFT AND A LOT DAFTER THAN I SEEM, SOMETIMES

We could also have "Post of the Year".
The Post of the year has already been won by the right hand Goal Post at Huddersfield Town on Saturday which was struck by the penalty kick that rebounded to safety.
The Goal Post itself is now residing in my back garden where it belongs, if you wish you may come along at your leisure and observe it for a small fee, although Bus Drivers are exempt.
OK,I think that's the winner settled.
To all other posters: Don't bother posting funny comments until January 1,2016 , unless you are happy with a honourable mention...

Blimey, the year 1,205 is a long way away. Do you think we will be promoted by then?

I hope this is an early April Fools joke. Really, an award for employee of the month? Unaccustomed as I am, I would like to thank the academy for voting for me and my little post. Say hello to my little post. Get away from my post you bitch. Now in all the excitement did I fire 20 posts or 120. Well do you feel lucky post?

I am already dressed in Gum Boots and my pink chiffon ball gown ready for the ceremony.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

So, why are you not putting in any special effort?
Remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
I will be as good as I can be and when I cross the finishing line I will see what it got me

Given we have a general election hurtling towards us I am wondering on what basis the poster of the month will be selected.
1. First past the post?
2. Proportional representation?
3. Single transferable vote?
4. Putin-style freedom of choice so long as it is in line with his wishes?
5. Drawing straws?

I started a good topic just the other day, there was even a hazelnut in every bite (or was that squirrel oops). Well I found it interesting, reasonably sensible, a kind of humor, quite regular after eating it, it did disagree with me a little, but I didn't cross any lines, .. oh I give up!  :dft001:
Logical is just in the name - don't expect it has anything to do with my thought process, because I AM the man who sold the world.

Not really interested in this, sorry.  It's not why I am (rarely) here.

If I don't want to be considered, does that mean that I should f***ing swear in all my posts?

Then we are all.....hmmm...., what was that word, I can't remember off the top of my head, I know it begins with D and ends with D, and there are a couple of OO somewhere in between, but no, it escapes me at this moment, I am sure it will come back to me given time.
If anyone can help, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Now let me see, begins with and ends with D, a couple of OO...hmmm.

What part of starts and ends with a D didn't you get?

I was thinking Discombobulated, but I'm not sure it's a real word.

Dorothy went down to the shop and bought some steak, potatoes and baked beans.
She went home and cooked the food, ate it and then, after washing up and watching
Eastenders she sat down and played on her ipod.

It could have been the " starts and ends with a D  " bit I think. Let me check on that though.  1500.gif
