We'll be very hard pushed to temp any players away from Brentford, simply down down to the rivalry aspects.

I don't think these matters, important as they are to supporters, effect footballers' choices in any way.
Maybe in Glasgow - but even then there are exceptions.

That's the man. Provider of one of the most important 'assists' in Fulham history.

This might mean that we won't be getting Husband:

"Cairney sustained a serious knee injury in late August 2012, following a reckless tackle by Doncaster's James Husband in a League Cup tie"

Is he a Fulham target?

Was heavily linked a few weeks ago, few tweets from apparently ITK Swindon fans that he was definitely talking to Fulham

Spurs are apparently willing to loan DeAndre Yedlin for the season, he maybe worth a look at if we need a right back

Fulham have not improved their offer to Roberts but will not sell unless a bigger fee is forthcoming from City.

Fulham dig heels in over Manchester City bid for wonderkid

Stalemate: Pat Roberts (R)

Fulham are refusing to budge on improving a new deal for wonderkid Patrick Roberts – and Manchester City are going to have to do a lot better than £5 million already offered.

A day after the Whites had yet to hear from the former Premier League champions, in came City in an attempt to take the 18-year-old talent (see video) off their hands.

Getwestlondon have been told the bid was rejected out of hand, but Roberts is also refusing to sign terms offered by Fulham, reported to be around £5,000-a-week.

Fulham boss Kit Symons argues the best place for a player he developed as U21 coach is with the Whites, but there may yet have to be a compromise over wages – or City are going to have come closer to the £10m price tag on the England U19 star.

Seems to be more ready made for RM/RW at the moment. The things holding him back are his defensive chops. Not saying he's a bad defender. He's not. But that is what is holding him back at Spurs from what little I've read.

At any rate, Yedlin's speed and attacking effectiveness would certainly make opponents think twice about committing too much down his side of the field.

Fulham, alongside Arsenal and Brighton, looking at 18 year old Ryan Sweeney from AFC Wimbledon. Republic of Ireland U18 international with two games in League Two to his name.

Won't affect the first team, but still interesting none-the-less.

Certainly, if we are to continue leveraging our academy, we'll need to continue stocking it with players from this age group. I have no idea if this player is worthy of the two or three lines of rumor or not but, we should certainly continue to see Fulham signing youth players. That is my hope anyway.

Besitkas the latest team to be linked with Mitroglou

After reports of Fenerbahce leading the way for the signature of Mitroglou, followed by Udinese and Saasuolo showing an interest, Besitkas are the latest club to be linked. Besitkas signed Demba Ba from Chelsea last season and after scoring 27 goals in all competitions, Shanghai Shenua are rumoured to be tempting Besitkas to sell Ba with a bid in excess of EU 12 million.

With Besitkas likely to sell with an offer of that size, it means they're currently on the look out for a centre forward and Turkish press are this morning reporting that Besitkas have turned to Mitroglou as Ba's replacement. The reports are stating that Fulham are trying to recoup as much of the alleged GBP 12 million we paid for Mitroglou as possible, but that we are open to loan offers. With a loan fee of EU 2.5 million mentioned, it will help chip away at the sizeable transfer fee paid and also remove his wages from our books.

One thing is for certain, with so many clubs now linked, it looks like Mitroglou wont be with Fulham this coming season and if we can get a transfer fee anywhere near what we paid for him, it would be best for all parties if he moved on permanently. After just 3 appearances and no goals, our record signing has proved to be disastrous signing for the club.
