What the hell is going on ....?

Sorry to go over old topics but for all the rhetoric why are Fulham so consistently behind the pace on everything?
No retained/released list.
No clues as to who or the likelihood of the quality we wish to sign.
Not even the prospect of signing so say bargains when others have pounced.

The momentum should have started at the end of the season and driven on through the summer.

Instead we have slumber land.

Aren't 'they' back in training in a month?

I despair.

There have been less than ten transfers into next seasons championship teams... How far is everyone else behind?

You forgot the next installment of our elusive new strip.. :022:

Northern Cottager

All other clubs are well on their way to building suspense and interest in next season. Friendlies, retained list, new kits, season tickets, new players etc. We have very little going on.

But we have announced two first team friendlies plus the trip to Portugal and then they are also going to Austria at end of July by the looks of it.
Season tickets...have you missed all the advertising for that?
New players...7 teams have signed a total of 9 players so far
The Kit is being teased, but i agree it should be out now.
The retained and released list will come out when ALL the details are finalised.

To be fair to the club, apparently Hilda the Tea Lady is getting an assistant.
Signing from Rochdale I believe, or so the rumours going about state..

Well we have had a bid or two turned down for Brighton's Dunk. We are in for a few others. I heard today Derby have pick up Bent on a free so that is a relief. We have announced two more friendly matches in Austria. I seem to remember it wasn't until during Wimbledon tennis we had a report Ian Brantfoot was taking over as manager. So it seems that there is plenty of time for all sorts of things to happen.

It is only because of this instant news that we expect things to be relayed to us on the hour. Things will no doubt happen that will make us happy and sad. But it really is far too early to start panicking.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

Transfer window doesn't open for weeks and ends long after that. If by then we haven't signed anyone of note by then, then we can complain. Patience!

If the window ain't open how comes players are changing teams?
For example Liverpool have bought two players already, I believe?

we havent had a decent window for years, so follow my suit and dont get your hopes up. im going with all our assets will get sold in this window, so that if one remains it will be a bonus. and as to liverpool, one was a freebie and had no club to sign from, and the other could have been a pre signing that wont be official till the first of july

Exactly, it will almost certainly be last minute Fulham again, I fear!

Liverpools 2 signings cannot be completed until 1 July, so essentially they are pre contract agreements, nothing more. Apart from Liverpool and Spurs, I'm not sure anyone else in the premiership has "signed" players.

Also if Kit had signed the players Liverpool did last season, I'm pretty sure he would have been even more slated than he has now for not signing anyone before the transfer window is officially open. Also less than 1/7 of the clubs in the championship have "signed" anyone, so TBH I can't really understand the attitude of some people.

Rumour has it we're signing Everest and Double-Glaser. Two decent window signings.

FulhamStu

I did get the impression that in the recent past windows, we have looked to offload
before signing players.  If for example Ruiz had gone earlier in the last window we could be have bought in someone else.  I suspect there is an element of that going on and its about balancing the books but I don't really know ??

Why do our so many of our "supporters" get trampled in the rush to think the worst of our club.

Personally I couldn't give a damn about the strip (unless there is some random proposal to change to another colour because it is lucky or something).

On transfers, retained/released lists etc. I am more interested in the quality of the deals and decisions rather than the speed.  I have no reason to fear the worst and will wait with open mind.
