Am absolutely gutted for the ladies' loss last night. What a way to lose. Watched the game and the Japanese never really had a clear chance. Their goalkeeper made all the saves and we hit the bar with a cracking shot. How the ladies game over here has progressed in recent times.

Heartwrenching. If anyone could contrive the worst possible way to lose, that would be it.

But as you say bog, how the womens' game has taken great strides lately in this country, and that is the positive to take for next time.
