I'd take Bamford everyday

Not 'arf. 25 goals in about 60 Championship appearances. 22 years old.

Quality player.
If there's any truth in it - that's a Dembele replacement.

Agreed . A Dembele replacement NOT a McCormack replacement

JPCL

I would take him but the twitter account reporting it is hardly official is it?

Let's just hope him and Tunnicliffe have kissed and made up

Maybe not kissed.

True, that's half the problem

I am okay with kissing,, even hugging if they play well and score.

Twitter saying that Wednesday wanted to get the McCormack transfer done last week at £12m, but Fulham delayed until his clause expired so that we can demand more and now Wed are looking elsewhere.

Well played by us, if that's true.

Bamford would be excellent. A couple of signings now in and suddenly the summer is looking just that little bit brighter
The Intertoto might not exist anymore, but that doesn't matter. We'll still win it again.

How can we delay it, if the clause was 12m and they met it there is nothing that could be done about it.

Turn off the phones, don't pay the Internet bills, casually forget the password to the transfer emails account ..

Possible the clause wasn't just a buyout???

Regardless, glad we kept a hold of him!

Yep doesn't seem to make logical sense, like a lot I've read about this clause over the last few days. Only explanation I can think of, although it sounds unlikely, is perhaps sheffield Wednesday were unaware of the clause and making us offers around the £11m mark
Someone once asked me, "Why Fulham?".
My response, "Well, lad, you just haven't seen the light yet"

Bamford has been loaned out here and there.
Would rather we signed a proven Striker instead of going down
the loan road again...

Sure, but that will cost us 10+ mil. We need to spend for a defensive mid, left back, centre back and another winger also.

Bamford was named as a 2015 Championship player of the season while being on loan at Boro, a very good player for sure.

aaronmcguigan

Bamford is coming off a season where he hasnt scored at all, for two teams. he has had one good season in league one and one good season in the championship. Id take him and tell him this is his best chance at playing premier league football in fulham..

True. But to put it into perspective his season consisted of 2 starts with a total of 353 PL minutes.
OK, the fact that he couldn't force his way into either the Palace or the Norwich XIs counts against him, but we are looking at the Championship here. (Not that I necessarily believe he'll end up with us.)

Yes, it is good to see that we are seeing off preditors for McCormac but remember the situation with Dembele and Dempsey when Spurs came in at the deadline and left us high and dry.

Fear this could happen again with McCormac , there are a few clubs reported to be interested.

Toby Ward-Smith

Glenn Murray signs for Brighton on a season long loan from Bournemouth

Got a few Forest fans who really, really don't rate him. No thanks.
