Ross a brilliant player, and until the club say he's sold he's our player.some comments could be considered liable but the mods should be making the call on these comments.
it's 100% from riggs so can't be libel as it's not false.

Well the problem is you state on the first post that Ross has gone and the Riverside won't be built. Ross is still here and The Riverside is going to have some work done do it. Even if it is only cosmetic.

So the tone and suggestion of the post can be construed as being inaccurate and untrue. So Ross is going and no major works at the Riverside according to what you have heard would be more accurate. However as both subjects have been widely discussed before neither come as in any way insightful or shocking.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I may be wrong so please don't all shout at once. I am under the assumption that when you have planning permission, if you put down foundations of any description then you do not have to reapply for planning permission if you only do that, as work is deemed to have started.
As we are nowhere near capacity at games it really is not necessary to increase the ground size, would we fill it , probably not.
As far as Ross is concerned I am just sick of the whole transfer window nonsense surrounding him, every window is he isn't he, give him a new contract in January same fiasco. I am not bothered if he stays or goes as I am fed up with whole annual saga.

I agree with you on all fronts.  We always go through these things that are completely out of our control as if we can prevent them happening but year-in/year-out they repeat.   I stopped getting upset about it a long time ago.  Let things unfold as they always do.   With or without Ross, and with or without a stadium development there is a football season to be played out on pitches where all the talking is done by the players.  I hope they drown out the moaning.

So do I, but the moaning won't go away whilst the club keep the fans guessing, I use to think it was a fans club, but since this absent and disinterested chairman has taken over, the club is no longer fan friendly like it use to be.

And my Woolly friend, that is the essence of it all.

People can argue as much as they like over this that and the other but the perception of more and more fans is the club are taking us for a ride!

It's amazing there aren't more sensible posts like this about how poor the ownership has been. It does start at the top.

Two Ton Ted

This club has been exceptionally badly run since Khan took over.

Three consecutive lower league finishes in three years.

This is correct, as long as footings as in place construction is deemed to have begun, therefore the planning permission does not lapse/need to be reapplied for in the future.

As far as I understand it doesn't even have to be anything as substantial as footings with some projects, it isn't overly straight forward.

Any word on who might be coming in?  Or just an indication that the Ross dollars will be spent on players over the next week?

There's no Ross dollars to be spent!
I do not believe the club would sell the best player we have unless they have an excellent replacement, who is guaranteed!
Even then I personally will not be happy to sell to a rival club - it's stupid beyond stupid!

I refuse to believe this rumour!

I agree, but then they wouldn't spend out all that money in the past on people who weren't good enough or didn't want to play for us, or would/did they?? Of course they did!!! Ross will be out of here pretty soon, hopefully at a fee which will allow us to buy 3 decent players, good business if it happens!

Here's a list of some other things that are stupid beyond stupid

Sacking your board without replacing them
Hiring an assistant manager to help your manager then sacking the manager two weeks later
Making the assistant manager your manager then sacking him two months later
Spending £11m on an injured player when you're in a relegation battle
Thinking a mad german and your youth team will get you promoted from the championship
Thinking a numpty with no managerial experience will get you promoted from the championship
Allowing the club to be managerless for two months whilst you replace the numpty
Spending several years designing a new stand then not building it
Not buying a new centre back when you conceded 79 goals last year

Hmmm exactly, and the prospect of commencing the new season without a new centre back appears at the very least negligent, and at the most suicidal.

I was going to respond to this with an argument about whether someone who played for us half of last season can be called "new" and whether someone else who played most of last season at right back is really a centre back, but rather than arguing about technicalities it's probably simpler just to ask, do you honestly believe we're going to be much better defending set pieces if that's our CB pairing next year?
Can't be worse, but then do you honestly believe that we are actually even looking at, can afford and can attract better?

Being a Pakistani/American with no knowledge of football and buying a football club surely outranks all of the above in the stupidity stakes? Unless of course, he has (God/Allah forbid), an ulterior motive in buying probably the most valuable piece of real estate in the borough?
