If you go to the All News page the link to the McCormack item actually reads "The Club can confirm that Ross McCormack has joined Aston Villa in a £12m deal."

As you say, when you click on the link it is undisclosed.

Telegraph this morning reporting that Vila paid £14m for Ross.

Sorry to see him leave but pleased that it is all done with before the season starts. Wish I had confidence that the money acquired would be spent wisely on new players.
