I mentioned in a post yesterday about Gareth Bale and his 91million contract, now reading this morning that Ozil and Sanchez after a 70,000 a week rise to stay at Arsenal, how much money do these greedy sods need to live on a week its bloody horrendous.
And who pay's for it in the end.

Strangly i don't blame the players for this, after all we all want to get the best we can when we can, i blame the clubs for paying this obscene money in the first place, if the clubs stopped doing it the players threat to go elsewhere is gone. Clubs are going to pay this sort of money because the supporters demand the best players, but if ALL clubs stopped, the likes of Ozil and Sanchez would have no where to go.

I do blame the players in this case,as they've asked for
70 grand a week rise. And I find that horrendously greedy, and the agents that go with them.

FFCFOREVER

They are greedy gits who actually dont know what a days hard graft is and dont know how privileged they are to be paid millions to play the beautiful game.It makes me sick

alfie

So i guess if you asked for 70grand payrise and your company was willing to do it, or another company was, would you not take that opportunity, i know i would.

I certainly would take it and thank the club very much for giving it to me.I would also know how lucky I am to get it and not get greedy by asking for more.I think these footballers today are so far detached from the reality of living in the real world.

For a start I wouldn't have ever been offered or asked for that sort of money.
And my life doesn't revolve round money like yours
obviously does.
The pleasures I get out of life like spending a few hours
a week helping out at my local animal rescue centre is worth more than anything.
But you wouldn't understand about that would you
living in the money orientated world that is London.

Nothing I'm not used to. We have a lot of fools spouting xenophobic stereotypes on this side of the Atlantic as well. i think they came over with the Mayflower.

I wouldn't say I was Xenophobic Hatter,I always had the
hots for Jeanne Tripplehorn in her younger days..lol
And she's a Yank.

I completely disagree with you as I don't blame the players at all, neither do I envy them. So now you can have a go at me as you did Alfie for daring to live in London and Hatter Don for being American.  But of course you aren't xenophobic at all are you?

And that's why the game is a mess, because of fans
Like you who agree that they should be paid these
ludicrous sums.
As for Alfie my post is nothing to do with him
personally living In London at all,but to do with London
itself, where it makes the world go round.
As for being Xenophobic, your right I can't stand anyone who doesn't come from my street..Hilarious.
We're not talking about 70,000 a year you know, its a week, and already on 100,000 a week,Christ how much money do these greedy sods need to live on.
And who pays for it in the end, their Arsenal fans
when prices are increased on everything.
I'm losing faith in the game, their kicking a ball
for Christ's sake, not doing heart surgery all week.

AlexW132

I agree that players are paid way too much, but at the end of the day if you're going to be given a pay rise, the vast majority of people would take it. It's not directly their fault (In most cases) that wages have become so overinflated, the blame lies at the feet of both the agents, who will do anything to ensure that their client and in turn themselves will get a big pay rise, and the clubs for giving in to their demands. There are cases where the player is obviously the guilty party (Fabian Delph, Mats Hummels, plus all the players wasting their careers in the Chinese League) but mostly we have to blame the agents, and of course the TV money.

FFCFOREVER

I think we all acknowledge the fact that we would not refuse a pay rise, I know I wouldnt,  but when these players who are already on vast sums of money as mince has already stated, start to make noise and demand more, especially when they have not done much to earn it then I am afraid that is called pure greed.

Xenophobic is just another adjective, one of many, when used by individuals who are losing the argument.

what argument was that?
