A CB would be my priority, even ahead of a forward.  It's beginning to look as though the Khans have again failed to invest anything, just broken even, no investment money whatsoever unless there is a very late surprise.

Last season we had no striker really and look at how many goals we scored

Don't quite understand all the gloom on these pages.  From my perspective this has been a very encouraging window.  A potentially better replacement for Malone at LB, Ojo and new signings to cover the loss of Aluko (no great loss in my opinion), Fonte up front and stronger back up in midfield.  Kalas back with Ream and Odoi.  It's a better team than we've had for years.

The one real loss to the club appears to be Adeniran who looked as though he could become an important player for us in the future when he turned out in the LC last year.

Luis Suarez is a striker/wide man. Gayle is a striker/wide man. Pretty much every striker with pace can also play out wide these days.

Honestly before we sold Aluko I would've said 7/10.. in my mind we still needed a CB and forward.

I'm not convinced we've strengthened the team after loosing malone and Aluko and not bringing in adequate replacements.

I appreciate we now have greater strength in midfield and up front but up front there's a lot of untried players..

As a result it'd be  a 4/5 max 6 out of 10 for me. I worry how little we've done in defence. I don't get the logic of getting rid of Aluko when we had noone of equal calibre lined up or signed.

If we get forestieri in that'd be great but still getting tight and not much news on that front and no CB's either..

Disappointed with kline and Tony khan especially as whilst they've bought in depth they've failed quite monumentally as things stand to really address key areas we needed to improve. Not sure they can say they've done a good job in my eyes.

Fonte and Kamara are out and out strikers, you cannot dispute that as it's the position they play the majority of their games in. I read all of your message, hence replying to you claiming it's wrong, you seem to have this weird fascination around slagging Kamara off and calling out Fonte for not being a centre forward, which he is. Don't believe me, check Transfermarkt which backs up what their positions are

I'd love Suarez or Gayle but we can't and won't get them.

Just cause a striker can play out wide doesn't mean he's not a striker. And doesn't mean he won't score goals.

Well he scored a goal and hit the post so even if I hadn't seen the game I'd have guessed his performance was at least semi-decent

Two things, firstly hard to judge Kamara till he plays in His natural position of striker, and has more minutes than he has. Fonte has played almost 3 times the amount of league game minutes to Kamara I believe. His second position is wide but that is not his strongest point.
