So he's open to the Championship now?

He has been for a while, his preference is a team in European competition or top flight that's for sure however he was impressed by our project and vision. He also realises and accepts the championship is a high standard and competitive, as competitive as some countries top divisions

Thanks Westcliff - appreciate you giving the info you have. I think it's naive for anyone to take anything completely for granted. I appreciate a player can be close to signing only to have their head turned last minute and go somewhere else - it's happened with us before.. That said though, it's always nice and appreciated to have a measured but informed approach to what's going on re transfers and that what I really value you giving us. If you ever feel you can give more or can't , I'll respect there are reasons.

Promising noises re Rolan - let's keep our fingers crossed. Sounds like from what others are saying it'd be a coup for the club, although his goalscoring record wasn't prolific at Bordeaux, under the right management and with the amount of opportunities created, his extra pace and height too could do well for us. I would like to have more than just him as a new option up front though.

Was wondering - any news on Kalas or Piazon - feel free to send me a private message if there is information you feel you can't say publicly but would be happy to tell me if you feel you can trust me to keep it schtum.

Shame. Would be good to get them back - they both added value to the league and with that extra bit of familiarity with the manager and team would, one hopes, do better for us in their second season. Plus they both seemed to love the club and played a key role in getting us into the top half of the league.

Did speak to a friend who is a Brighton fan and she says nothing on any of their forums though has heard that all staff at Brighton have been told not to talk to any one outside of the club about possible targets having lost out on a few in recent weeks

I just read on Twitter that the Brighton ruomour is one year old.

That's correct , quick Google shows this from Birmingham Mail August last year.

I thought it was funny and would lighten the tension on here. But as you have shown. Best to go back to asking about sources and being rude to each other.
