WW - still no update? Seeing Newcastle fans starting to talk a lot more about Rolan now...

One of the journos who works for the Newcastle Chronicle (Lee Ryder) picked up on the story today, but he didn't say anything with regard to there being a firm bid etc. he basically just repeated what we already know in that they have an interest in him and Rolan would prefer Newcastle to us.

Bet he hasn't seen the area yet, or indeed the women!

More money higher level so puts the geordies in prime position if they want him that is.
Strikers as ive always thought,good o es that is difficult to atract at championship level.

The Rolan deal is looking less likely, Bordeaux are waiting for Newcastle to firm their offer up, will be slightly more than ours, say a premium for waiting. We have said we are not changing our bid, so we will move on, if they wish to sell then they should call us type of thing but we wont guarantee we will be interested or offer the same again.

Hopefully we will approach Enrich again. Tired of the Bordeaux/Rolan thing as, I imagine, Fulham are. Hopefully, we've quietly firmed up other opportunities while everyone's attention has been on the Uruguayan.

Bordeaux want more money and the player may still not want to come.  We have tried too hard to get this bloke, that's 3 weeks when we should have tied up another instead of being messed about.  Listen to fulhamish and the French actually don't rate him, he blows hot and cold and goes missing for large parts of games in the season.  Sounds just like his attitude to this saga, mr big bollocks and exactely what we don't need.  We need a team player and goal scorer that can finish all the great attacking play we will provide.  This guy is not a proven goal scorer, had ability when he wants to perform but sounds and has behaved in a way where we have probably dodged a bullet.  Nice find Kline ..NOT !

two things we have been looking and making moves for other strikers, and Rolan was a scout find who then got his stats done.

Have you scouted him for that notes you make? 9 goals in 19 stats last season multiple assists as well, may blow hot and cold but we could have done with some of that for sure.
