The loyalty point system is skewed

You get 50 loyalty points for a season ticket or 3-4 points for a single match ticket – go figure how that adds up over a season.

so you get more points if you buy tickets individually, base don the savings for buying a season ticket it seems proportianlly corrcet (thats based on financial outlay)

It isn't 'financial outlay points'. You can attend 13 home games and get more loyalty points than someone who has committed to and attended all 23 home games. In which case you can't describe it as a 'loyalty point'.

A number of home games only earn(ed) you 1 point.

My point was Dirk if you bought a ticket for every home game you would spend more that a season ticket holder so if they were based on how much you spend for a ticket then it could work out porportionally equal base don financial outlay as season tickets are cheaper than buying 23 home league game tickets.

I have alwats thought though tthat yuou get differing amount of points depending on the catergory given to any individual game. I am sure, we like most over clubs, give Catergory a thru c or d rankings to teams, like newcastle would be a catergory A game and get more points that say Rotherham which could be a catergory c game.

Same but this away game is a different ballgame altogether. Based on some claims I've seen if you haven't got 600 points then you're watching it on the tele.

There aren't a great deal in the 600+ category. But to be honest, if you had that many points, you deserve to be at the front of the queue, that's how a loyalty system works. I never have any trouble buying tickets, most games go to general sale.

Is there an official statement of how many points you'll need for the away leg? I've got more than 600 points but no idea if that's good, bad or indifferent.

From my straw poll of people I was talking to on Sunday 600+ should cover it.

Not picking holes in this and I have no idea how the loyalty system works. But. Wouldn't it be the other way round hypothetically?

The club want as many fans through the gates as possible. If you take the Newcastle game at the start of the season as an example. It was a sell out (correct me if I am wrong). That was always going to be the case for a high profile game. If they offered 1 Loyalty point or 3 for turning up you would anyway right?

If we are playing Rotherham at home on a cold, wet, Tuesday night. The club say its worth 1 Loyalty point. Well what's the incentive to turn up if you will have to rush to get there, get wet/cold , its on TV etc  (this is all hypothetical). If the club were to say, "come along and get 5 Loyalty points which will go towards you getting tickets". Now that's more of an incentive.

They would want Loyalty and so would want you turning up all the time not just for the 'big games'. That's my way of reasoning so my logic would be, more loyalty points for lower profile/ranking games.
Also with season tickets. While you may get more for buying an individual ticket (say as a member) the limited tickets always go on sale to season ticket holders first then members second. Regardless if a season ticket holder has 400 points and a member 600+.

Does anyone know what the actual policy is? would be interesting to see how they work it out. Based on a monetary system as mentioned above or through a less glamorous tie = more points set up.

Take Me Home

In contrary to what is being said about there being only a few people with 600. I think there will be well over 2000 people with 500-600. If someone had a season ticket for the past 3 years and went to 8-10 away games a season and a few home cup games they will be up there. And I would imagine there will be at least 2000 who have done this and will get the tickets

I think the club will do 700+,500+ 300+, and imagine they will go within the 500+ section.

I feel for the people who a lot of the time get tickets on the door for matches, especially away games in the championship

I have 390 points and literally have got no chance of Reading away. I'm gutted, but as long as the club is fair and the people who attend matches up and down the country get them I will understand.

There should be an allocation of 3000-4000 for each club

I agree, but I assume the lower catergory games get lower loyalty points. I dont know how it works and never said I did, but i would link it to costs if Cat B games are Cheaper than Cat A games you should get more points for a cat A game

Rumoured allocation is around 2000 apparently.

The size of the allocation is the real crime here. I would love to know who influenced that decision because it's ludicrous.

westcliff white

thats all we are giving isnt it? think all the clubs are doing the same.

Gate receipts are split and also think everyone is charging the same

But who influenced the decision for an away allocation of 2000 for the semi-finals? Was it the police or the clubs?

Either way, I see no convincing reason for it.

Steven Ageroad

It's official, on the FFC site, 700+loyalty points get 1st dibs, then the amount required gets less each day. Good luck to everyone.

alexbishop

problem for me is going to home games but tickets getting booked by friends and therefore I don't get the loyalty points ..
