I'm conflicted.  I want him to stay.  But his sale could free up enough money for a number of quality players to better ensure promotion. What to do...
Financial Fair Play really screws us over.

Has Tony Khan now grown a moustache, I haven't seen him (or heard from him) in a very long time, has he been to the Belgravia Centre, some of you might have to look that up! If the comment about Sess is true, is that supposed to make us jump up and celebrate??? I wish he and his Daddy would provide us with some good news....back to my music thread...Leaving on a Jet Plane (John Denver)! Woolly you must consider that as a possible top 6 qualifier!

No he hasn't grown a moustache, but he has a pet Walrus who has recently grown one.

The way he's playing atm, we'd have to spend 15mill+ prob to get someone to hit the ground running for the second half of the season and it's still a risk. Let's hope he has a great 2nd half to the season and then we can really cash in.

Saying that, if we somehow did get promoted, I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed if he was guaranteed match time
I was there, standing in the Putney end

Well I'm not and no it doesn't. We don't need to sell to spend, just look at our net spend under Khan and that should be clear.

That's great news. I wonder if that means we're not going to pursue Targett then either. So now just have to worry about keeping Fredericks + McDonald.
Come on Matt sometimes I think you are not looking at the whole picture! I think most of us are not thinking or celebrating about "just" keeping a few of our players, what the club needs to do is get rid of the excess baggage and I don't mean the 2 players you have mentioned! Got to ask you, do you think SK is doing a good job for FFC?

I think it's hard to speculate. We literally do not know anything because they don't say anything. I don't comment on the inner-workings and I was always taught not to assume, so I really have no comment on SK.

All I care about is getting promoted. I think we've got a great team, and just need to score goals. Our 4-1-2-3 is the formation for success, and a lot of players are in fine form. Sess is the best of them and keeping him is worthy of celebration. I want a striker that has the proven scoring like Kamara, so Grabban would be a great addition if possible.

Other than that, though, I'm indifferent. I just like watching things unfold.

..FOF..

It is a smart business move actually.... we can give them 3 months to fight it out and fork out more cash after this season :)

Obviously to placate us mushrooms and warn us that RS will definitely be sold in the summer
Our owner can not resist the dollar signs and a quick profit
How else can we fund some more loanees ?
Wise up mushrooms, we will be asset stripped from players to the properties

What about a woman with one.....

That statement is just a roundabout way of saying, he's gone in the summer. Means nothing. That or just a roundabout way of getting more column inches for Sessegnon to make sure he stays in the public eye throughout January.
No need to make the statement and if there was a need, should have come through the club channels. Appreciate the sentiment of wanting to keep fans happy but that's a PR job, get the director of football operations out chasing leads, identifying talent, establishing budgets, instead of talking to papers and watching pointy ball games over in 'Merica

You've been saying this for years and it still hasn't happened, so just for my own clarity, when can I expect the asset stripping to start?

Could it just be a case of Mr R Sessegnon making it clear to everyone he has a contract and he ain't going anywhere.  The young man has a voice in such matters regardless of who the 'headman' is.

Asset stripping = sale of our best players and replacing them with inferior players or loanees
Property = not as yet

I must've missed when Cairney, Kmac and Sess were all sold in the summer then. Dont say Aluko was our best player either as he's so far turned out to be a 1 season wonder that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn door, and Ojo is proving to be just as good this year. Malone was good and wasn't properly replaced but the logic of replacing him with Soares was initially sound, it just turned out to be a gamble that didn't work out. Oh and the bit about property is quite laughable, he's improved Motspur Park, and bought more land next to it so hardly asset stripping there either.

Baszab

Property asset stripping - obviously it hasn't happened yet - however the feeling within the football business community is that the club is being prepared for a sale - ground with PP, training ground with spare land

You have to be an incredibly firm believer (i.e. mushroom) in the Khans or their rubbish PR to think he is in this for anything other than : -
(i) profit (ii) ego - "I own a sarkker club in London town"
(iii) Something for his son to experiment with and boast about  (look at TK's Twitter handle - "owner" "director of football" of FFC...blah blah - how pathetic.... people with real power/business acumen don't have to promote it all over social media)

I don't see anything yet from the owner for FFC club's long term goal of successful Premiership football (surely the aim)

Never mind....... you continue looking through your rose tinteds and I will carry on doom-mongering

Oh, another positive post to cheer the mood... thanks for that.
Just out of interest, if this 'Asset stripping' does not happen, you will be decent enough to come back on here and hold you hands up, won't you?
Regarding "the club is being prepared for a sale", that is the case from the day they bought it, as no owner ever stays forever, Alf was the same, he sold up in the end, but given that they have stayed with the Jacksonville Jags for 10 years, does indicate that they are there for the long haul as opposed to the 'make a quick buck' you seem to think they are playing.  Besides, they paid £200m to buy us in the Prem, invested in players and the ground and if they sold us now would get back what£? 3/4's of what they paid?  Something doesn't ring true here.

Planning consent for the Riverside development will increase the value of the CC site with land value increasing at a significant rate provided the extra-football activities take off.  We do not know what Khan will do with the ex-BBC land which obviously has existing planning limitations but also has planning opportunities when and if the right contacts are made.  With Motspur Park it is huge site and the Khans would likely see a fairly healthy increase over £200m for the whole job lot.  I am not yet persuaded he will sell but I do understand why people are suspicious because I am too.

Glad someone brought this up as I've got an idea they might just give him a bumper new contract till 2022 or thereabouts (he has got same agent now as Harry Kane).Just a feeling.

Not Johh Denver but an earlier version by Peter, Paul & Mary
Mine therefore goes in the top 6 - not yours - natch!

(LOL) in any dispute I have the final decision, Woolly please disqualify my entry, don't want to upset anybody (not in my nature)!
