Alan Pardew has gone from the WBA. Why did he get Sturridge on loan? Already injury prone he lasts 50 mins in his first game and aint played since. They remind me of us when we came down. A complete and utter shambles.

Thank you and good night

Yes it's been a very disasterous tenure for Pardew and Albion. They most certainly look destined for relegation. Let hope we are not playing them next Season in the Championship.

They must be all feeling very giddy by now.

As you say Fernhurst who would want that job? Before the season started I thought they looked to have a strong squad...but what do I know?! Pardew will get another job, as Mark 'I know how to win games in the Premier league' Hughes did.

So pleased to see that Accrington Stanley won again.  :clap_hands:

I always thought WBA are a similar club to us in terms of infrastructure, support & finance.  It'll be interesting to see how they do in the Championship.

Accrington Stanley........ what a fabulous old fashioned name. Know there is a town of Accrington but where did the Stanley come from?
About 11 years old when they first went bust and confused on how it could happen, only been to The Cottage to witness games in front of 20/30 thousand.... all those one shilling and six pence was ........ a lot.

Jump forward 60 years and they have returned to League football and sit proudly atop of league 2

Good luck Accrington, more power to your elbow

The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

Ian Wright is saying Alan Pardew will find it very hard to get back into management, "Which Premier League club would employ him to keep them up and which Championship club would want him to take them up?"
Shows what Ian Wright knows - the same old faces fail every year and always find another job.

I read that. Perhaps a bit over the top but right. They used to be team mates so no loyalty there. I wonder if they didn't get on?  :022:

Totally agree. As a 16 year old I still recall the desolate footage of the ground after the last game played. As you say where did the Stanley come from?  Another who I want to see promoted is Shrewsbury Town.

When the original Accrington team resigned from the football league back in 1893.
There was another team called Stanley Villa who played at the Stanley WMC in Stanley Street Accrington.
So with the demise of Accrington, they took up the name, and became Accrington Stanley.

Yes I follow their scores also. Went to Haig Ave for an FA Cup tie in the late 60's, won 3-2. Also Workington likewise still going.

I've got a Fulham v Workington programme in my collection.

I've got this massive thing about Ian Wright.  I think its called hatred.

I do not understand how somebody with no original opinions (he always go's with the flow) and his very basic presenting style can earn a living .... as a presenter?  He is either a total con man or has an exceptional agent. The same agent presumably looks after Robbie Savage and just about everyone (Danny M excepted) on TALK sport.

Good, got that off my chest.  3-1 to use tonight?
