Warning. If you should receive an e-mail from the BBC licencing department about money owed to you through over payments delete straight away. It is some shi**y scumbags at work.

Thank you and good night

I didn't think anyone else payed their BBC Licence Fee anymore bog. I genuinely thought only you and I were the only ones still paying it.

Yes it is the TV licence. By a text they tell you you have paid to much and are eligible for refund....and ask for financial details.  P*** off!!

Woolly, given the quality of a lot of TV now I would prefer not to pay anything.  When you see the salaries some are on, ie Simon Mayo £330,000, one does tend to get the hump.

bog I was reading an article in a newspaper about the kind of excuses people give for not paying their licence.
Here are some samples.

I stole my TV set, and nobody knows I have it, so why should I pay it.

I have recently lost weight, and spent all the money I had on new clothes that fit, so I could not afford a licence.

I have just had a lethal injection so I did not think I needed to pay.

I may be dead in six months, so I would not be getting value for money.

My dog is a corgi and is related to the queens dogs, so I did not think I needed to pay.

The only way I could afford a licence is to sell my Hamster, do you really want me to do that.

I only turn my TV on to use as a lamp, as the glow allows me to read my book.

Only my 3 year old son watches the TV, so can you take it out of the family allowance, as he should be the one that pays.

I was caught shop lifting, and I am barred from the shop that takes paypoint payments.

I am 72 years young, so I have another three years of this scandalous extortion of this fee from my pension. But I do not really want to wish my life away if I can help it Peabody.
I am lucky enough to be still working to help cover these bills, but I feel sorry for others who may not be quite so fortunate.

I actually think it is good value when you compare it to Sky who charge you to watch and then bombard you with adverts. However there are people on the station earning a lot of cash who do they think they are Footballers?

Woolly Mammoth

But the issue is, that with Sky you have a choice, however, with the bbc you have no choice but to pay it. It's a racket, and they had the cheek to call Dick Turpin a Highwayman and a Robber.

E have these rants about the TV licence every so often on here (and I appreciate that was not the point of the OP).  I will say again that I, for one, am perfectly happy to pay it and regard it as very good value. In comparison with much of the imported junk on many independent channels the Beeb at least manages to produce (some) decent programming.

My only argument is that you have a choice to pay for sky or the like but you have to pay for the BBC if you like it or not.

+1

What annoys me with the BBC are the astronomical salaries in millions that they pay to executives and so called stars. It is true they do some excellent dramas but the amount of repeats are too high.
