That is not completely accurate, as our number 1 Lookout, who was stationed in amongst the tumbleweed at Motspur Park, reported having a visual of a lone Delivery Driver carrying another box of second hand paper clips through the tradesmens entrance only this afternoon.

I do wish you would stop mentioning the 'Tradesmans Entrance'.
Especially, after 11pm! πŸ˜‚

Averaging 34k fans before they moved to Stratford. Probably what we'd get if our ground would hold it, so comparably-sized fan bases.

FFS, now ive heard it all, our fan base is comparable to West Ham , give your head a wobble 😣

The Sun reporting it as done, but the time stamp says 1pm on 10th July.

SIGNED, SERI, DELIVERED Fulham beat Chelsea and Arsenal to signing of Nice star Jean-Michael Seri

Also, from Nabil Djellit (fairly high profile French journalist) tweeted this:
Seri est arrivΓ© en Angleterre... A Londres pour s'engager normalement avec Fulham. #mercato #Nice

Is it happening?!

Interesting day ahead. Will we see a new signing in the new kit?

We were selling out 25k every week when we were last in this division so just out of interest (a) what do you think it would be if we had a larger ground and (b) what would it have to be for you to consider it comparable to 34k?

West Ham have a fanbase far bigger than ours, miles bigger. We're not even close. Support all over the south east & Essex, North Kent etc. Stayed in Southend last year & the amount of people getting off at local stations was incredible. Train after train of them
We averaged 25,000 with a 7200 capacity Putney end practically filled with away fans every week. Also did deals for kids etc. They averaged 54,000 last season & have plans to increase capacity.
Reckon we'd only fill the 29,600 odd expanded Craven Cottage for big games & again by making a disproportionate amount of away tickets available.
As a club they've been no better than for us for 20 years but we'll never have their support. Arsenal mates tell me they nearly outnumbered them at Highbury in the FA cup QF in 75, there was nearly 60k there

100% correct , they are a massive club compared to us, to compare us to West Ham has got to be the most stupid , idiotic thing I've ever read on here, the lack of football knowledge is truly astounding.

Disagree with this point, we weren't getting 7,000 away fans every week, and also the rationale for developing the riverside was always that we were selling out, and would therefore consistently fill a larger capacity, not just for for big games. if we can stay up for a few years until the new stand is built we'll be getting 30,000 every week

However going back to West Ham, I thought both Upton Park and the Stratford stadium were bigger than 34,000 and 55,000 respectively, didn't realise they were selling out those grounds, so in fairness you're right overall, beyond those figures there's clearly an even bigger market for tickets there

Every single time we played Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, West Ham, Man Utd ,Liverpool, Everton & quite often Newcastle & Villa the whole Putney end was filled people supporting them. The neutral was just another term for an unofficial away section. Yes there were a few Fulham in there for the lesser lights but for the big games, & I sat there for a few, we were completely overwhelmed

Also think the main driver for the new Riverside stand was more about bringing the facilities up to a modern standard.

I don't always agree with Statto but in all fairness Riversider he did hold his hands up and admit he was wrong before your post.

Wijnaldrum leaving Liverpool. He'd be a great signing and certainly less of a name than Seri... would be a worthwhile backup to him IMO for when the inevitable happens and we lose out on him.

FULHAM IN SERI TALKS

Fulham and Nice in talks over the signing of midfielder Jean-Michael Seri, report Sky sources.

Sources close to the player have told us he is in London.

No fee has been agreed, but Seri's release clause is Β£35m. The clause expires on Sunday.

However, Fulham are only prepared to pay around Β£18m and have concerns they could be outbid by another club.

Chelsea are also interested.

He has another release clause - ZERO - when his contract runs out next summer - so just how much is he really worth now?
It could be better but it's real life and not a fantasy
