Seeing a few things on Twitter saying we're in for Wilmar Barrios.

Quite a few sources too.

Barrios, Mitrovic, Malcom, Musacchio, Fabri and Augustinsson on top of Seri and Le Marchand would be quite a summer.

Although where would we fit all the talent?

GK - Fabri
LB Augustinsson
CB - le marchand
CB - Musacchio
RB - christie

DM barrios
Cm Seri
Cm cairney
Lw - sesessegnon
RW - malcom
St - Mitrovic

That'd be quite the sight for sore eyes.

What happened to that Argentine boy we signed was going to be the real deal, centre back wasn't he.
Is he still here?😵

Casasola? He has been in Italy in various Serie B/C clubs so I don't think we missed out on much.

Targett's still a target

FULHAM REPORTEDLY LODGE £8M BID FOR MATT TARGETT

Fulham are continuing to pursue a deal for Southampton defender Matt Targett and according to claims from the Mirror, the Whites have made an improved bid for the left-back.

Targett spent the second half of last season on loan at Craven Cottage and played an instrumental role as they secured promotion to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs.

It was reported earlier on this summer that Fulham had seen a bid worth £10 million rejected by Saints, with the club keen to retain their academy graduate's services.

However, it was later claimed in different reports that the London club's bid was only priced at £5 million. This, of course, was knocked back despite Fulham's persistent efforts to land Targett.

New indications from the Mirror today, though, claim that Fulham are continuing to step up their efforts to land Targett, with an offer worth £8m submitted to Southampton.

Saints are under no pressure to sell their promising left-back but it's thought that Targett is desperate to play regular first-team football. With Ryan Bertrand seemingly set to stay at St Mary's, Targett could find a starting place in Mark Hughes' line-up a tricky objective to achieve.

According to Wikipedia he's still only 22.. playing at a serie B side.

Meanwhile marcello trotta is on loan to a unknown serie A side..

If we continue to improve our bids, we might get him for free.

Maybe it's a typo as I thought we had a 4m bid turned down earlier? Not sure if anyone's followed him but he looks like hes bulked up a bit too for next season. Fingers crossed but I'm still dubious he'll come due to the Bertrand situation.

Also, I hoenstly can't believe Liverpool are buying a keeper for nearly 70m....seems mental to me!

hmm, don't get me wrong, I do love a big money signing. But if true, why does it always seem like we strengthen our strongest areas, whilst we always seem to over look our obvious weakness

I have to assume that the management are complete blithering idiots, and that they'll have reinforcements for the weak positions coming in as well.

but of the same quality? I'm pretty sure everyone could have lived with keeping our midfield trio in tact, and wouldn't we have all I've liked us to go out and spend best part of 40 million on two center backs?

For gods sake we need a very good (preferably young )  centreback  - it will cost us big but not as much as relegation ! Without a top centre forward, centreback and keeper you can have the best midfield in the world but you won't score many and you will concede a load more. It was ever thus.

What we need is someone with a bit of recovery pace at centre back. Don't get me wrong, I love Ream, he was almost Bobby Moore like last season, but our one big vulnerability with our high line is if they get in behind us, we don't have the recovery pace to get back at them. We suffered for it at times in the Championship, so God knows how much we will be in trouble in the PL. We can't rely on the fullbacks because they can often be too high up the pitch to be able to make a difference. It has to be at CB.
