Listening to talksport, doing a thing on rapid but rubbish players meaning fast, rapid but rubbish.

Various names coming up like tony daley, walcott, ronnie rosenthal, aaron lennon and so on..

Was thinking Fulham wise and thought of radsinki and gus uhlenbek (cx spelling), anyone else?

It's worth bearing in mind that the faster a player runs, the harder it is to control a football, the harder it is to change direction, the harder it is to make a tackle, the more it hurts when you fall.  Football has compensating mechanisms that make it blooming difficult to play. 

The best thing about really quick players in modern football is that they make defenders play deeper, because no player likes to be done for pace.  That makes space.   Our quick players did a number on Aston Villa in the first half at Wembley without actually needing to kick the ball.  Fredericks deserves his share of the credit for that.

Gus Uhlenbeek would probably win for me very fast but couldn't cross the ball on the run.
Might be a tad unfair but Wayne Collins was the same couldn't control the cross after beating the fullback.
