RaySmith

A great wit and raconteur - involved in writing  much of the funniest English comedy since the war.
RIP

bog

Another one whose solely set out to make us laugh. RIP

Lighthouse

He was a writer on many 50s and early 60s radio shows. Usually with writing partner Frank Muir. Always a delight to listen to some of his work that is still repeated today on Radio 4 extra. His tv appearances on Alright on the Night will be what the modern audience will remember him by. But his early radio writing is also worth dipping into.
The above IS NOT A LEGAL DOCUMENT. It is an opinion.

We may yet hear the horse talk.

I can stand my own despair but not others hope

Woolly Mammoth

Yes he was a really good natural bloke, easy to listen to, and very talented at what he did. I once saw him at an Airport and didn't realise how tall he was.
Rest in Peace.
Its not the man in the fight, it's the fight in the man.  🐘

Never forget your Roots.

Fernhurst

English gentleman who was treasured by those of us of a certain vintage.

RIP Denis, condolences to all your family.
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.

The radio writing was, in my view, much better that the rather contrived TV stuff.

A golden era in my opinion.

RIP man was a genius and in latter years a bit undervalued.

Far be it for me to criticise such a brilliant man on tv or for his writing but I can tell you that on the phone he was not easy to talk to.

I'm not easy to talk to when people constantly ring me asking for money.
The atmosphere's fresh and the debate lively.
